Rising Stars: Meet Big Spyderr of West Midtown

Today we’d like to introduce you to Big Spyderr.

Hi Big, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
At just 17 years old, I had the incredible opportunity to do makeup for Blue from Bad Girls Club (Jonica) for her interview with Kandi. She was my VERY first client. I posted the photos on Instagram, and only a few days later, life took an unexpected turn. After an altercation at North Atlanta High that led to my suspension, I was faced with a choice — but instead of slowing down, I accepted another huge opportunity: doing touch-ups at Boosie’s video shoot for No Juice. (No school, late night video shoot)

From that point on, everything took off. I became that girl in Atlanta’s makeup scene. I worked with the late Khadiyah, Shay Johnson, nightlife entertainers, exotic dancers, and ABC- to D-list celebrities — all while still a teenager. By 17, I was one of the most booked MUAs in Atlanta.

As I grew, my creativity expanded beyond makeup. I transitioned into marketing and social media content, which has been one of the most fun, energy-filled journeys of my life. And now, I’m channeling that same hustle and experience into helping others.

I just released my e-book, Zero to Influencer, designed for anyone who wants to learn how to make money on TikTok through commissions, flat fees, and building influence. There’s so much money and opportunity out there — and I believe everyone deserves a seat at the table. This e-book is my way of helping you claim your spot and eat.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
My journey hasn’t been perfect — it’s been full of bumps, lessons, and growth. Between 2017 and 2023, I actually stepped away from the beauty industry. During that time, I earned my Bachelor’s in Healthcare Administration and Public Health, and I also got certified in IT.

When I looked around, I saw how oversaturated the market for MUAs, hairstylists, and beauty professionals had become. So many girls were transitioning into the beauty space, wanting to be “the boss,” but without really knowing the ropes. For me, I literally jumped off the porch at 17 already understanding those ropes, which gave me a strong foundation. That’s why I shifted my focus into marketing — because I want to help other women navigate the same journey with confidence and clarity.

But I won’t sugarcoat it: the struggles have been real. Negative comments, people with ill intentions, family jealousy, fake support, women trying to pick my brain for their personal gain, and even outright sabotage. Every step has been a test. Still, I see each challenge as a lesson and a milestone, not a roadblock.

In 2019, I had my son, Kyndall (named after a region in my birthplace, Miami). He is the light of my life and my greatest motivation. Becoming a mother gave me a new drive — a battery in my back — to build something lasting, not just for me, but to give him the life I always dreamed of.

Through it all, I’ve learned that success doesn’t come without resistance. And that’s exactly why I created my e-book, Zero to Influencer — to give women the blueprint, so they can skip some of the pain, avoid the traps, and step straight into their power.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m a makeup artist turned digital marketer and content strategist who now specializes in helping beauty brands and influencers monetize their platforms. I started my career at just 17, working with celebrities, nightlife entertainers, and public figures, which gave me a foundation in both artistry and branding. Over time, I transitioned into marketing and social media content creation, combining my creative eye with my business mind.

Today, I focus on TikTok Shop sales, affiliate marketing, and influencer growth strategies. I’m known for turning organic content into real conversions. For me, it’s not just about going viral — it’s about building systems that turn visibility into consistent revenue.

What I’m most proud of is how I’ve been able to pivot and reinvent myself. From dominating Atlanta’s beauty scene to earning my degree in Healthcare Administration & Public Health, to building a personal brand as a marketer and educator — I’ve proven that growth isn’t linear. And most recently, my TikTok Shop success shows the power of leveraging content in the right way:
• In just a few months, I shifted from skincare tools being my best-sellers to wigs completely overtaking my store.
• My Cute Bein 613 Blonde Wig went from only 2 sales in June to 43 sales in just the first half of September.
• GMV jumped from $119 in June → $4.7K by mid-September, all because of one viral video that hit over 350K views.

That sales explosion didn’t just “happen.” It was proof that content + strategy = revenue.

What sets me apart is that I’m not just teaching theories — I’m actively doing the work. I understand the creative side from being an MUA, the business side from my degree and IT background, and the marketing side from my hands-on success in TikTok sales.

I’ve lived the journey that many aspiring influencers and entrepreneurs are trying to start:
• I know how it feels to break into an oversaturated market.
• I know how to face setbacks, negativity, and personal challenges — and turn them into fuel.
• I know what actually works in social media sales, because I’ve tested it myself.

At the core, my mission is to help others win — whether that’s through my e-book Zero to Influencer, my content strategies, or my personal brand.

What do you like and dislike about the city?
What I love most about Atlanta is the music scene and culture. Being here feels like having a front-row seat to greatness — I get to witness emerging artists and social media influencers literally blow up right in front of me. It’s inspiring to watch people rise from the city’s creative energy. My favorite artist has always been between Young Thug and Future, but honestly, Young Thug is the most consistent for me. I’ve been rocking with him since the early mixtape days, so seeing his growth mirrors how Atlanta nurtures talent from the ground up.

What I don’t love as much about the city is the food scene. Coming from Florida, especially Miami, I’m used to food with strong flavor, bold seasoning, and heart in every dish. In Atlanta, I feel like a lot of the food is kind of mid — more about aesthetics than taste. Since it’s such a beauty- and image-focused city, the food often feels watered down compared to the rich, soulful flavors I grew up with.
