Rising Stars: Meet Brandon Earl

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brandon Earl.

Hi Brandon, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I’m an artist – I express myself. Beginning with poetry as a way to process things I witnessed and experienced, I found joy in that form of art. Growing up, I also liked to make my own money. I was selling candy at school and cutting my neighbor’s grass.

As I became of age, my awareness of the world and myself grew. Knowing more, being encouraged to apply this knowledge led me into broadening my art. I discovered I had a knack for crafting jewelry with crystals and gemstones – so now I had the perfect mix of art and business. Then I really started to learn how to incorporate both into my life, still discovering my artistic abilities and honoring my entrepreneurial spirit.

Now today, even furthering my art, I’m building a clothing brand; with a motto of spreading messages of awareness. I’m still a jeweler and at my core a poet, and on top of it all, I’m managing myself to express my art in the best way I know how.

I’ve appeared in shows and music videos, I still am enjoying the art of acting. A few years back, I co-hosted a radio show with My brother and some lovely women. My voice is something I’m looking forward to use more of. I’ve been comprising a poetry book I’ll publish as an audiobook; along with voiceover acting and more narration of stories – it’s something I’ve done and I thought was great.

The best part of what I’ve been called to do has been the divine love gatherings I host at the west end park in Atlanta, I call The WokeBack. It’s been like church for me to come together with others, commune with nature, work out together, all that we do at the gatherings; is beautiful. There’s more to my story but this is what you’ll have of me now. As I grow, so will the story unfold. I grant harmony and love to you all. Wadu.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Of course, it hasn’t been a smooth road, I’m grateful that I’ve had my seatbelt on. I’m grateful for all the obstacles I’ve grown because of.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
For five years, I’ve brought people together to sun soak and meditate. Since 2002 I’ve been writing poetry, sharing some and keeping most to myself. People know me for designing and making jewelry. I’m most proud that I’ve continued to discover more of what I am capable of; I know there’s more to know and see.

We love surprises, fun facts and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
I have a twin brother.
