Rising Stars: Meet Brooke Stone of Atlanta

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brooke Stone.

Brooke, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
In 2017, I shot my first wedding as a second shooter with my then boyfriend, now husband, and it felt so natural to pick up a camera. I have since shot 100+ weddings and countless couple, motherhood, and family sessions. Documenting couples in all of their seasons of life has been so incredibly sweet.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely wasn’t a smooth road. One of the biggest leaps I took was moving out on my own just eight months after going full-time, which forced me to learn quickly and trust myself sooner than I expected.

There were moments of uncertainty, especially in balancing creativity with the realities of running a sustainable business, but that pressure ultimately sharpened my focus. It pushed me to be more intentional with my work, my clients, and the direction I wanted my business to grow.

Looking back, that season built the foundation for everything I do now — it taught me resilience, confidence, and the value of betting on myself early.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m a wedding and lifestyle photographer specializing in documentary-driven imagery with an editorial edge. My work focuses on honest moments, refined composition, and a sense of timelessness — photographs that feel lived-in but intentional. After weddings my second focus is Motherhood, natural and organic storytelling for your journey of becoming a mom.

I’m known for my ability to anticipate moments and create space for people to be fully present, which allows the story to unfold naturally. What I’m most proud of is building a business rooted in trust and experience, where clients feel seen, comfortable, and cared for from start to finish.

What sets me apart is my balance of intuition and structure — I bring a calm, observant presence to every shoot while delivering imagery that feels elevated, soulful, and deeply personal.

We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
My mom always had a camera growing up, and one summer she let me borrow it on a family trip to Washington, D.C. I took photos of everything — buildings, details, people — and at night I would sit and edit all the images I’d taken that day.

Looking back, that was one of the first moments I realized how much I loved observing and documenting the world around me.
