Today we’d like to introduce you to Caliyah Amanie.
Hi Caliyah , can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I’m someone who’s navigated the twists and turns of life with resilience and faith. Growing up petite, I struggled to embraced my uniqueness. Middle school brought its challenges as hurtful words about my size and weight started affecting how I perceived myself. The struggle with self-esteem persisted through the years, leading me to a pivotal decision – turning to my faith in God for healing. Through this journey, I discovered my worth and found beauty in my brokenness. God’s calling on my heart urged me to lead, speak truth, and inspire others.
Following Christ has been my anchor, though not without its challenges. It’s the best decision I’ve made, teaching me to see myself through the eyes of the Father. Amid society’s negativity and beauty standards, I’ve found profound peace and value in my relationship with the Lord. Now, I’m passionate about sharing this journey, hoping to help others discover the same peace and value I’ve experienced. Psalms 46:1 resonates deeply in my life, emphasizing the refuge I’ve found in God’s presence. Out of this journey I created The Way and The Light- which helps people of all walks in their relationship with God. This prioritizes providing a space where individuals can receive the Word, find encouragement, and connect with others without fear of judgment. It’s a place where the love of Christ is at the forefront, fostering an environment of acceptance, growth, and genuine fellowship.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Not at all. The road has been filled with challenges, but each obstacle has refined me. Following Christ meant letting go of friendships that no longer aligned with my walk of faith. It meant sacrificing the comforts of my flesh — surrendering habits, mindsets, and desires that once defined me. Dying to myself daily hasn’t always been easy, but it’s been necessary to fully become the vessel God has called me to be. Every loss, every sacrifice has led to greater intimacy with God, and ultimately to greater purpose. I’ve learned that obedience often requires surrender, and though painful at times, it always leads to growth and deeper joy.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m the founder of The Way and The Light, a faith-based community focused on helping people deepen their relationship with God through encouragement, truth, and genuine connection. I specialize in creating spaces — both in-person and online — where people can receive the Word, grow spiritually, and experience the love of Christ without fear of judgment.
I’m known for my transparency, authenticity, and for sharing the reality of walking with Christ — the victories and the struggles — in a way that’s relatable and real.
What I’m most proud of is seeing people find freedom and identity in Christ because they felt seen, heard, and loved through this ministry.
What sets me apart is my commitment to leading with vulnerability. I don’t just share the polished moments; I share the broken ones too. I believe true ministry happens when people can see that God works even in the cracks of our lives — and that their brokenness doesn’t disqualify them; it qualifies them for His grace.
So, before we go, how can our readers or others connect or collaborate with you? How can they support you?
I’m passionate about sharing the hope and truth of Christ wherever God opens the door. I would love to be invited to speak at conferences, panels, workshops, podcasts, or church events — anywhere people need encouragement and real conversations about faith.
I’m also open to collaborations with ministries, organizations, and brands that align with the mission of helping people grow in their relationship with God.
People can support the work by partnering in prayer, joining The Way and The Light community, attending events, or sharing our resources with others. Every invitation, collaboration, and prayer helps expand the reach of what God is doing.
