Hi Chanel, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Hello my name is Chanel owner of Theluxurylocs LLC providing professional loc services located in Atlanta ga I’ve been in operation since 2021. I move to Atlanta from Cleveland OH, received my master degree at The Clark Atlanta University 2018! After being discouraged of finding a job in my field I quickly went into doing locs because I knew I had the skill. I stepped out on faith ( jumped off the porch) and started promoting myself all over the city putting that footwork in, sitting in on big hair events exc .I instantly started getting clients and started taking clients in the living room of me and my roommates. I was literally doing locs for $40-$50 full service . My name start getting mentioned from other client of how fast cheap efficient I was. I traveled to clients and also worked late hours to get as many clients as I can to pay my rent and car note. The pandemic hit and I was devastated because I had no clients booking, but shortly after in 2022 everyone started the loc journey and I gained massive clients and it went up from there! Now I am s 6 figure business owner who started from the bottom and never gave up , I perfected my craft . I now teach master 1 on 1 loc classes teaching others how to learn my techniques and skills.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Being an entrepreneur its never a smooth road. If it was easy it would be boring anyway I love challenges. Of course I faced adversity but never gave up , there was times where I had no clients or my car didn’t work to get to clients . The pandemic definitely hit my business the hardest where I didn’t have any extra money to spend on anything but rent

I am a professional loc stylist and I specialize in loc extensions and loc repair. I am know for my fastness and also quality of work. I am most proud of how much I perfected my craft to where I can teach others how to do the same. What’s sets me apart from others is my personality and my set process for my services
Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
The most important lesson Ives learned along my journey is that you have to promote and market yourself as much as possible
