Rising Stars: Meet Charles Ramsey of Athens

Today we’d like to introduce you to Charles Ramsey.

Hi Charles , so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I grew up pretty poor. In a great family but we didn’t have much. My parents encouraged me to achieve whatever I wanted. I managed to get a scholarship but knew that cooking would be my life.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The food service industry is hard but never smooth.

Meat meets smoke and magic happens.

Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
I could have never done this myself. My parents, my family, my partner, my coworkers, my staff. It’s always a team effort.
