Rising Stars: Meet David Knox of Castleberry Hills

Today we’d like to introduce you to David Knox

Hi David, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My journey has always been rooted in creativity, connection, and building something meaningful from the ground up. In the early stages of my career, I was deeply immersed in the world of fashion retail and brand building. I’ve always had an eye for style and a passion for helping others express themselves through what they wear and how they show up in the world. That love for aesthetic and identity eventually led me into real estate—another world where creativity, strategy, and vision play a huge role.

Over time, I realized that my experiences in both fashion and real estate weren’t separate chapters, but stepping stones leading to something bigger. That’s how Space323 was born.

At Space323, we believe that every creative mind and entrepreneurial spirit deserves a stage to share their vision and gifts with the world. It’s a space I created not just as a venue, but as a canvas — where ideas come to life and moments become memories. Whether it’s hosting pop-up shops, content shoots, brand activations, or intimate events, Space323 was designed to be versatile, stylish, and full of possibility.

Our mission is simple: to empower artists and entrepreneurs by offering an affordable, inspiring platform that transforms innovative ideas into reality. Here, your vision is celebrated, nurtured, and brought to life—whether you’re launching a new brand, unveiling a creative project, or simply seeking a space to ignite your passion.

By merging all forms of art and entrepreneurship, we strive to be more than just a venue—we aim to be a catalyst for expression, collaboration, and success.

Join us at Space323, where imagination meets opportunity, and every vision finds its home.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Definitely not a smooth road—but I wouldn’t trade the journey for anything. Over the past 25 years as an entrepreneur, I’ve experienced the full spectrum: the highs of success, the lessons in failure, and everything in between.

Like most entrepreneurs, I started with big dreams and very little guidance. There were moments where I poured everything into a venture—time, energy, money—only to watch it fall apart. I’ve had product lines that didn’t take off, partnerships that didn’t align, and seasons where nothing seemed to go right. There were plenty of times I questioned if I was on the right path.

But those hard moments built resilience. Every setback forced me to sharpen my vision, reassess my strategy, and evolve. And on the other side of that struggle came growth—personally, creatively, and professionally. I also learned the importance of adaptability: the ability to pivot, reinvent, and stay open to new opportunities when the old ones no longer served me.

The truth is, success isn’t linear. It’s messy. It’s unpredictable. And often, it looks a lot like failure—until you realize it was setting you up for something greater. That’s been my experience, time and time again.

Today, I stand on the foundation of everything I’ve learned—both the wins and the losses. And that perspective is what allows me to pour into others through spaces like Space323. Because I know what it’s like to chase a dream, to build from scratch, and to fight for something that only exists in your mind at first. And now, I get to help others bring their visions to life—through a space that was born from mine.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
At my core, I’m a creator—someone who sees potential where others might see limitations. Throughout my career, I’ve worn many hats: fashion retailer, brand builder, real estate investor, designer, and now, founder of a creative platform. But the common thread through it all has been my passion for turning vision into reality.

In fashion, I developed a strong aesthetic eye and learned how style could be used as a form of personal expression. Running retail stores gave me the structure and discipline to build systems, manage teams, and operate with intention. I had the benift to work with alot of the old Atlanta Left Eye of TLC, Esacpe, Gipp From GoodMob, ect .When I transitioned into real estate, I discovered how to leverage money, scale ideas, and build long-term wealth. From Flipping homes to new contruction projects, Structures became my new creative outlet —taking something neglected or broken and transforming it into something beautiful that someone else could see value in.

But beyond the business side, there’s a deeply spiritual layer to everything I do. I’ve always been drawn to thinkers like Deepak Chopra and Abraham Hicks. The “law of attraction” and the idea of aligning with purpose has been a guiding principle in both my personal and professional life. Entrepreneurship, more than anything, has tested and strengthened my faith. I’ve been in moments where everything was on the line—no clear path forward—and somehow, through alignment, prayer, and persistence, God made a way. That spiritual muscle has been just as important as any business skill I’ve developed and aprt of my formula to success

Through Space323, I get to pour all of these experiences—my eye for design, my business sense, my creativity, and my faith—into a platform that empowers others. My brand of business, aesthetic and execution sets me apart from others

Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
My biggest piece of advice for anyone just starting out is this: trust the process and trust yourself. It’s easy to get caught up in trying to have everything figured out from day one, but the truth is, clarity comes through action. You don’t need to have all the answers—you just need to have the courage to start.

I wish someone had told me earlier that failure isn’t the opposite of success—it’s part of it. Every setback, every “mistake,” is actually a lesson that’s preparing you for what’s next. Don’t let fear of getting it wrong stop you from moving forward. The journey will stretch you in ways you never expected, but it will also reveal your strength, your resilience, and your purpose.

Also, take your spiritual and mental well-being just as seriously as your business goals. Entrepreneurship can be isolating and mentally taxing, so having a strong foundation—whether that’s through prayer, meditation, community, or personal development—is key. That inner work will carry you through the hard days and keep you grounded when things start to take off.
