Today we’d like to introduce you to Dj Univercity.
Hi Dj Univercity, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I moved from Chicago to Atlanta in 2018 in hopes of continuing my DJ career but also trying to figure out “what else”. I picked up a camera in 2019 and started out taking pictures on Edgewood. From there I became interested in interviewing the different people I meet out here in Atlanta so that’s what I’m on. I love it, I’m having fun!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Nah it hasn’t been smooth at all. Initially, I spent a lot of time trying to figure out exactly how I wanted to do this but then it got to the point where I said “f**k it” let me just throw it out there and see what the people say. The feedback was enough for me to continue.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m most known as DJU from Chicago to Atlanta. A lot of people refers to me as King Von DJ, I had the pleasure of going on the road with him shortly before his passing. I’m most proud of myself for always keeping my head up even when times are rough. My networking skills is what sets me apart from others. I’m always in rooms others would do anything, pay whatever, to be in.
Alright so before we go can you talk to us a bit about how people can work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
U can book me for an interview, a photoshoot, a music video, or a DJ set. Hit me up on Instagram @dju312 and subscribe to #DJUTV on YouTube. I appreciate your support!
