Rising Stars: Meet Dominique Chantel of McDonough

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dominique Chantel.

Hi Dominique, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Dominique Chantel is a Christian entrepreneur, speaker, and teacher dedicated to helping women thrive through every season of life. As the founder of She Thrives and Let Love Be Your Guide, LLC, Dominique has built a faith-centered community and brand that empowers women to grow spiritually, emotionally, and purposefully.

She is the creator of the I.A.A.M.™ model — an innovative devotional framework that helps busy believers connect with God daily through Inspiration, Affirmation, Application, and Meditation. The model is now available through her mobile app, equipping thousands to deepen their relationship with God in the flow of everyday life.

Dominique also teaches her signature S.E.A.S.O.N.™ framework — Stillness, Emergence, Action, and Stewardship — guiding women to thrive with peace and purpose rather than pressure.

A proud mother of two, Dominique is deeply committed to building a legacy of faith and impact for her 15-year-old son and 8-year-old daughter. Her journey is marked by creativity and courage — from publishing Reign Magazine in 2008, to recording a contemporary gospel album in 2009, writing her book “Let Love Be Your Guide, Vol. 1” in 2020, and launching the She Thrives Podcast in 2021.

Through every venture, Dominique’s message remains clear: when you let God’s love — lead, you can truly thrive through any season of life.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
My journey has been anything but smooth, it’s been long, rugged, and full of mountains and valleys that shaped me into who I am today. I lost my mother when I was just one year old, and for many years, my biological father wasn’t present in my life. That absence created deep abandonment and daddy issues that followed me into adulthood. I had to face those wounds head-on through therapy, prayer, and a lot of inner healing.

As a child, I learned to suppress my emotions, believing my voice didn’t matter. But God had a way of showing me that my voice does matter that He placed strategy, creativity, and influence within me to help others find healing too.

One of the hardest seasons was walking through a divorce. It shook me to my core. I truly thought my heart would never recover. But it was in that brokenness that the love of God met me so tenderly. He restored me, reminded me of my identity in Christ, and showed me that I am His daughter, fearfully and wonderfully made. I learned not to be ashamed of my past, but to use it as a launching pad for purpose. Every scar became a story of His faithfulness, and that’s what continues to drive my mission today.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
At my core, I’m a Christian entrepreneur, speaker, and teacher dedicated to helping women thrive through life not just survive it. Through my company, Let Love Be Your Guide, LLC, and my community, She Thrives, I create spaces where faith and personal growth intersect. My mission is to help women grow spiritually, emotionally, and purposefully by reminding them that God can use every season of their life for good.

I’m known for two frameworks that God gave me through prayer and lived experience. The first is my I.A.A.M.™ Model—Inspiration, Affirmation, Application, and Meditation—which helps busy believers stay consistent in their devotional time. It’s now available through my app, which makes spending time with God accessible and meaningful, no matter how full life gets. The second is my S.E.A.S.O.N.™ Framework—Stillness, Emergence, Action, and Stewardship—which teaches women how to navigate life transitions with peace, purpose, and clarity.

What I’m most proud of isn’t just the programs I’ve built, it’s the transformation I’ve witnessed in the lives of women who finally believe they can thrive again. Whether it’s through my book “Let Love Be Your Guide, Vol. 1,” my She Thrives Podcast, or one of my live teachings, I’m honored to see women rediscover their voice, their confidence, and their faith.

What sets me apart is that my work is deeply rooted in both faith and authenticity. I don’t teach from theory; I teach from testimony. I’ve walked through loss, rejection, and heartbreak, yet I’ve seen how God can rebuild a life from the inside out. My goal is to make sure every woman I encounter knows that thriving isn’t about perfection, it’s about progress, presence, and peace in every season.

Are there any apps, books, podcasts, blogs or other resources you think our readers should check out?
Absolutely. I’m a firm believer that leaders are lifelong learners, so I’m always intentional about feeding my spirit and sharpening my mind. One of my favorite tools is The Meditation App, which helps me stay centered and grounded in peace throughout my day.

I also draw a lot of wisdom from reading books are one of the main ways I grow personally and professionally. A few that have deeply impacted me are “Relational Intelligence” by Dr. Dharius Daniels, who is also my pastor and coach, and “Atomic Habits” by James Clear, which has helped me master consistency and intentional living.

When it comes to leadership and communication, I often listen to John Maxwell, who continues to challenge me to grow in influence and integrity. I also follow Dr. Karri Bryant, whose teachings on womanhood and leadership inspire me to lead with both grace and strength.

I read and listen often not just for myself, but so I can pour from a full cup. Everything I take in helps me serve and strengthen the women I’m called to reach through my platforms and programs.
