Hi Dr. Erica, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My Name is Dr. Erica Wilson. I am a powerful woman of God, an author and an award-winning leadership development expert. As an entrepreneur, I currently serve as the Chief Executive Officer for the following three companies:
• M.O.M.S- Mothers of Motivated Sons Inc., (formerly known as 88 Blessings Inc.),
• A Beauti So Rare, and
• “IT Had 2 Happen, LLC.”
I was raised with the unwavering support of my mother and driven by the love of my sons, Entrepreneur Daryl Wilson and Retired Pro Athlete Allen Hurns, by the grace of God, I transformed my personal struggles as a young, single mother into a powerful mission to support others. I have dedicated my life to uplifting single parents and youth, particularly in the face of adversity. I work to help transform the lives of mothers of sons by empowering them to discover their professional passions, achieve work-life balance, and nurture their mental health. I am the blueprint for turning life’s challenges into meaningful lessons and innovative opportunities to thrive. I continue to inspire others through my creativity, determination and servant leadership.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has not been a smooth road. I have faced struggles in all areas of running my small business. Financially, I have been able to make ends meet but I have no significant savings to reinvest in the business. Time management and burnout are issues when you are wearing multiple hats and handling everything alone. As a solo entrepreneur, I am working long hours that are draining both physically and mentally. Also, it is a challenge to attract and retain clients and partners. Because the nature of my business is not very public, I also have issues with getting enough marketing and publicity to gain some visibility.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
My background demonstrates my great fit for running M.O.M.S (Mothers of Motivated Sons) formerly known as 88 Blessings and (IH2H). I love my routine Podcasts and is focused on developing powerful new ways to entertain my fans for brain snacking with music or lifestyle. I’m committed to communicating with the audience for fulfilling their inspirations and likes to share or interest with a specific community, through an accessible way to reach my desired audience.
I am proficient in entertaining and informing my audience by presenting information and entertainment in an accessible and attractive way. I am known to host a program, create links between items, introduce and interview guests and interact with the audience. I love to conduct interviews and research, visits for events, and write story-loving reports for the airwaves as well as I have branched off into a specific medium such as radio, television, cable, or the Internet.
IT HAD 2 HAPPEN, LLC founded in December 2018 with great inspiration for the Book Authors, Speakers, Coaches, and for those who found their purpose in life from the Pain. The only thing different in the IH2H is the guest that I feature on my show are not looking for investors, but instead, want to promote their story and business to a wide audience. The format of the “IT HAD 2 HAPPEN, LLC” has a vision for sharing stories, you are going to uplift, empower and encourage others that watch the show to reach for their God-given purpose. My Journey, My Pain birthed My Purpose. IH2H welcomes Over-comers, Purpose-driven, Godprenuers, and Philanthropists.
M.O.M.S formerly known as 88Blessing INC. founded by me in 2016. I am the driving force behind Mothers of Motivated Sons and a proud mother of two successful sons. She persevered and found strength through her struggles as a single mother, and now shares her story and offers her support to others in need through M.O.M.S.
My sons and I mission with our own inspirational story offers resources and a support system to single parents and students in demand also, they are building and developing a community that empowers single parents to refocus their energy to grow economic stability, provide emotional support, and mentor students to take the next important steps with their education.
We developed inspirational S.O.A.R. movement in the COVID-19 pandemic that S.O.A.R. acronym stands for High School Seniors will Overcome adversity by Arising from hardships and becoming Resilient.
In 2017 my sons and I were blessed to serve multiple communities and expand their approach to provide vital support to families in need whether it’s school supplies, new beds, holiday festivities, or hurricane victim relief 88 Blessings are dedicated to our community and yours!.

authenticity & personality, strong communication skills, connection with anyone I come in contact with, excellent interviewing skills, preparation & research, consistency & reliability, unique branding & style, engaging storytelling ability and adaptability & growth mindset.
