Hi Gabi and James, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
First Flip was created when two like-minded people ran into each other down the aisle of a home improvement store… and the rest is history. Our business does everything from creating unique, handmade furniture to renovating homes to interior design. James has been in construction for decades and is extremely talented. I started remodeling a little over three years ago, but have always had a passion for homes and interior design. I take the lead on design, and James has the knowledge and talent to execute every project perfectly. Our love and passion for custom residential remodels has evolved into crafting beautiful, unique, well-built custom furniture. We are currently flipping our first house and hope to continue doing so in the future.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
With every new business venture, there are new learning curves. We are grateful for a smooth road so far.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am very proud of our fluted tables. I first created one for myself in my living room and it became a hit so I made a couple more to sell and then the furniture business took off. I also love our plaster tables. They are very tricky but are so beautiful and one of our top sellers. We also specialize in anything concrete. We make beautiful concrete tables, concrete countertops, and architectural concrete castings. What sets us apart from others is our passion for design. We hardly ever take a weekend off from work because we love what we do. The sky is the limit, if you can dream it we can most definitely build it.
Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
Have faith in who you are and what you do. Never compromise on quality and treat each customer the same as the next. Let your talent and creativity shine and people will take notice.
