Today we’d like to introduce you to Ìyá Chani Ifádúnmọ́lá Carroll.
Hi Ìyá Chani Ifádúnmọ́lá, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My journey into this work really began long before I ever called it a business. Caring for people has always been a natural part of who I am. I grew up understanding the importance of peace, presence, and creating comfort in spaces that might otherwise feel overwhelming. Over time I realized that the way I care for people through touch, intention, and energy, is actually a gift.
Professionally, I began my path in wellness through massage therapy, but my work quickly evolved beyond just physical bodywork. I noticed that when people came to my table, they were often carrying much more than muscle tension. They were holding stress, grief, life transitions, and the weight of being strong for everyone else. My work naturally became a space where people could finally exhale.
That realization led me to create A Touch of Goddess Wellness, which is more than a massage practice. It’s a space for restoration, alignment, and deep care especially for women who are navigating major transitions in life. Many of the women I serve are high-functioning and successful, but they are craving peace and a moment to reconnect with themselves.
Along my journey I’ve also become deeply passionate about supporting women during pregnancy and postpartum, because that season of life requires a level of care that many women simply don’t receive. Being able to support a woman while she is bringing new life into the world, or while she is rebirthing herself in a new season of life, is something I consider sacred.
Today my work sits at the intersection of therapeutic bodywork, intentional healing, and spiritual care. I help people regulate their bodies, reconnect to themselves, and move through life’s transitions with more ease and clarity.
My journey hasn’t been perfectly linear, but every step has guided me deeper into my purpose. At the heart of everything I do is a simple mission: to help people heal, align, and restore so they can live from a place of peace rather than pressure.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely has not been a smooth road. There were many moments along my journey where I wanted to walk away from this work entirely. What many people don’t realize is that massage therapy, especially the way I practice it, is not just someone lying on a table receiving a service. It is truly an energy exchange.
Early on, I was giving so much of myself without understanding how to properly protect my own energy. Clients would leave my table feeling lighter, relieved, and restored, but I would often feel completely drained and exhausted afterward because I was unintentionally absorbing what they were releasing.
As someone who deeply values my peace, there were moments where I questioned whether this path was sustainable for me. But that challenge ultimately became one of the most important turning points in my life. Through my spiritual walk and divine guidance, I learned how to properly protect and ground myself while doing this work.
One of the practices I adopted was wearing light colors and covering my head in white while working. Spiritually, white refracts energy, while darker colors tend to absorb it. That simple shift made a profound difference in how I could show up for my clients while preserving my own wellbeing.
I also give humble thanks and immense gratitude to my spiritual godparents for their wisdom, protection, and education. I hail from the Ilé (House) Arẹ́sà International, and the teachings and spiritual structure I received through that lineage via the Ifá-Òrìṣà Education, Training & Development Academy helped me understand how to carry my gift in a way that honors both myself and those I serve.
In addition to spiritual guidance, I am also a strong advocate for mental health. I have personally invested in my psy-cultural wellbeing through counseling with Ori Counseling Services, operated by Director, Chief Priest, and Peace Ambassador Ìyánífa Ifáṣèyí Bamigbàlà Ọlátúnjí-Arẹ́sà. That work has helped me deepen my self-awareness, strengthen my boundaries, and align more fully with my purpose.
With the guidance and covering of the Arẹ́sà lineage, my life and work have shifted for the better. Today, I am able to show up in my calling with clarity, strength, and protection. Because of that alignment, the people who come into contact with my work don’t just receive a service, they experience the true benefits of healing that comes from someone who is grounded, spiritually aligned, and walking fully in their destiny.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I consider myself a creative entrepreneur and healing artist. The work I do lives at the intersection of wellness, care, and creativity. Many people think of healing work as purely clinical or technical, but in my experience, helping to facilitate healing is truly an art form.
Through my practice, A Touch of Goddess Wellness, I specialize in therapeutic bodywork, prenatal and postpartum care, and supporting women through significant life transitions. I am also a fertility and postpartum doula, which is one of the most sacred aspects of my work. Supporting someone as they prepare to bring life into the world, or helping them navigate the transformation that happens after birth, requires an extraordinary level of care, patience, and presence. It is sacred responsibility.
What I do requires deep intuition and creativity. Every person who comes into my space is different, and healing does not always happen through verbal communication. Often it is a spoken language of energy, presence, and intentional touch. My role is to meet people exactly where they are and creatively hold space for their restoration. That process can look different for every client.
I am very intentional about how I care for myself so that I can show up fully for others. I keep my energy clean and grounded through spiritual practices including prayer, meditation, and continual personal growth. I regularly pray for peace, strength, and divine character refinement, not only for myself but also for every person I have the honor of serving.
What sets me apart is that my work goes beyond simply providing a service. I create an intentional healing experience where people feel safe enough to release, realign, and reconnect with themselves. The work I do blends therapeutic skill, spiritual awareness, and genuine care.
What I am most proud of is that the people who come to me don’t just leave feeling physically better, they leave feeling seen, supported, and restored. To me, that is the true artistry of healing.
How do you define success?
For me, success is not defined only by money, recognition, or how busy my schedule is. True success is peace, alignment, and impact. It’s the ability to wake up each day knowing that the work I am doing is meaningful, that I am walking in integrity with my purpose, and that my life is in harmony with the values I hold close.
Success also means having the freedom to care for myself in the same way that I care for others. Because the work I do is centered around healing and holding space for people, it is important that I maintain my own balance, clarity, and spiritual alignment.
Another measure of success for me is the impact my work has on the lives of the people I serve. When someone leaves my space feeling lighter, more peaceful, more connected to themselves, or more hopeful about the next chapter of their life, that is success to me. Knowing that I was able to facilitate a moment of restoration for someone is incredibly fulfilling.
Ultimately, I define success as living a life that is purpose-driven, spiritually aligned, and rooted in service, while still maintaining the peace and joy that allow me to continue showing up for others in a meaningful way.
