Rising Stars: Meet Janae’ Madison of Decatur

Today we’d like to introduce you to Janae’ Madison.

Hi Janae’, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Janae’ Madison is a 13-year-old powerhouse who began her journey in the spotlight at even a younger age. Her natural dancing talent and love for performing quickly led her into modeling and acting, where she started booking roles in commercials, films, and performing in beauty pageants. She gained national attention after being crowned Miss Pre-Teen Georgia and later co-starring in the family-friendly TV pilot Nick’s House alongside her good friend Nicholas Buamah.

Janae’s passion for entertaining expanded into television hosting when she became a red carpet correspondent for The Nick and JJ Show, where her bubbly personality and ability to connect with guests truly shine. But Janae’s talents don’t stop there, she’s also a fitness advocate and entrepreneur. With support from her mother, she founded Glamour Girl Fitness, a nonprofit dedicated to making fitness fun and accessible for kids. She even released her own workout journal, Fitness With Janae, and runs a fitness channel on the Black Education Station. Janae is truly a rising star on a mission to inspire and uplift others.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
One of Janae’s biggest challenges has been balancing her many responsibilities with her schoolwork and personal life. It’s no easy task trying to juggle acting gigs, interviews, nonprofit work, and being a cheerleader for her school, all while still being a kid. She’s had to learn how to manage her time wisely and stay focused, even when things get overwhelming. Rejection has also been part of her journey, as it is for many in the entertainment industry, but Janae has learned not to take it personally and to keep pushing forward. With her family’s support and her own determination, she continues to rise above every obstacle that comes her way.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Janae’ has appeared in several independent film projects, including Behind The Veil, Here or There, A Star Is Born, and Nick’s House. Her commercial credits include national campaigns for Puma and Food Lion, as well as features on Cartoon Network. These projects showcase Janae’s versatility as a young performer across both scripted and commercial formats.

We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
One of Janae’s favorite childhood memories is her first visit to Disney World. She described it as stepping into a dream come true, being surrounded by the characters she had grown up watching and suddenly seeing them come to life before her eyes. They weren’t just on screen anymore, they were smiling, waving, and giving hugs. It was as if her favorite stories had leapt off the page and had come to life. That magical experience inspired her desire to perform, to bring joy to others, and to light up the stage the same way those Disney characters did for her.
