Rising Stars: Meet Jessica Brown

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jessica Brown.

Hi Jessica, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Jess Snapped It Photography started off as something to do when it was nothing to do. Photography has always been something that struck my interest but it wasn’t until the summer of 2020 that I actually bought a camera and began shooting. Thanks to COVID, I found myself in a new city, with a new job and not a whole lot to do. With the help of YouTube and a whole lot of free time, I was able to learn the basics and take off from there!

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
As much as I’d like to say everything has been sunflowers and rainbows it has indeed been quite the opposite. Moving from a smaller town to a bigger city brought challenges in itself. I think one of the things that I have seemed to struggle with most is getting my name out there and securing clientele. In a city where photography could easily seem to be oversaturated, setting myself apart from others who have been shooting longer than I have sometimes has its disadvantages. Regardless of the fact, I still use every chance I get to sell myself and my business. As the founder of Jess Snapped It Photography, I make it my business to not only give my clients quality photos but the opportunity to turn their most precious moments into lifelong memories.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
If I had to choose one thing that sets “Jess Snapped It” apart from other companies, I would have to say my ability to work with everyone. I specialize in studio photography but lately, I’ve been branching out and shooting on location as well. While I love coming up with creative shoots, I also cater to newborns, infants, expecting mothers, families of all types, adolescents, young adults and everyone else as well!

So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
Clientele satisfaction. Nothing makes me happier than having someone trust that I can bring their creative ideas to life.
