Today we’d like to introduce you to Jessica Faulkner.
Hi Jessica, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers.
I have always been somewhat of a girly girl, but never really embraced it all the way for fear that others would think that it was too childlike, or I was too old. It wasn’t until I got introduced to Instagram by a coworker that I started seeing others my age and even a lot older sharing their love for pink and glam. Not long after that, I decided that I wanted to become a full-time influencer.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Some of the main obstacles I have had/having to overcome are 1. Really finding out what type of content that I wanted to create, and what audience I was trying to reach, 2. Learning how to properly edit so that all my social pages look cohesive and 3. Because my brand is not only about pink and glam, but also southern charm, trying to make sure I keep everything on brand with the two. It has definitely been a learning experience and one that I am still mastering, but I am enjoying the journey.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
In addition to creating content, I am also a hairstylist and have been for about 13 years now, mainly specializing in styling. But really working towards becoming a full-time lifestyle influencer. I feel that I am best known for wanting everything around me to sparkle.
What matters most to you? Why?
Some of the things that matter to me the most in my personal world are making sure I am a good wife to my husband Mitchell and our home, I love Zumba, so I try and go as often as I can, and just taking time out to be alone and have quite time to catch up on social media work, take bubble baths/self-care or just sip champagne in my beauty room.
