Meet Jo Johnson

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jo Johnson.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My senior year in college was supposed to be one of the most exciting times of my life, but it wasn’t. I was dealing with a host of health issues: physical, mental, and emotional issues. I knew I wanted to heal myself, but I didn’t know how. So like any other millennial, I took to the internet and social media to find ways to not only get back to the happy and healthy person that I once was but to surpass that Jo and be the happiest and healthiest person that I have dreamt about becoming.

At 21 years of age, emotional and mental health seemed like such an abstract feat that I didn’t know where to begin. So I started with my physical health. I began researching alternative and more holistic ways to be a healthier me. I started to work out and I started my vegan journey. With consistency, I noticed how a lot of my mental and emotional troubles dissolved on their own. I had more clarity and I began functioning in my executive state. It was at this moment that I realized the importance of being health conscious. The Most High gave us the practical tools like herbs and plants here on Earth to heal ourselves, it is up to us to learn how to utilize them to their maximum potential so that our bodies and minds can function at their best. When I came to this realization that this was what the higher power intended, I felt unstoppable. I feel unstoppable.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
It has not been an easy road. While growing during these times, I realized my true passion and calling was all things dealing with health consciousness. Now, what do I do with that? At the time, I hadn’t been exposed to how to turn this into a career. It took me years to figure out how to channel this energy into productivity. I started with clothes, sustainable clothing with bold sayings about veganism and health consciousness. It was a fun start, but I knew I was here to educate and to heal. It took some time and reflection. It also took lots of shadow work and healing on my end to evolve in the woman I wanted to become, the woman who can affect change through herbal healing within the community. I realized that I was playing small and expecting big results and I needed to quit selling myself short. I struggle with self-awareness and what people call “imposter syndrome”. I knew that I wanted to offer various products that would help in healing the womb man, but I always thought, ‘who am I to heal when I am in need of healing myself?’

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I specialize in offering information about various herbs and plants that aid in treating and, or eliminating different ailments. I am most known for my Yoni herbs and Sea moss gel. I am most proud of formulating my Yoni steam herbs to help with inflammation and cleansing the sacred space. A lot of my herbs were initially used to help me with my own health issues. I like that I am now able to help others with cleansing and healing their wombs and yoni. What makes me unique is that I research often and am always searching for new ways to make my products better. I am currently in a holistic nutrition program so that I can not only tell my clients the benefits of consuming herbs, but I can also educate them on the science behind these benefits.

We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
My favorite childhood memory was when my cousins used to come and visit us for the summers or winter break. We would see each other maybe once or twice a year, but when we all got together, we would find so many ways to have fun and be adventurous. We would do anything from playing cards and watching music videos and try to learn the dances to creating stories and playing make-believe. We were a team and we always had one another’s’ backs. It was an amazing time in my life and it makes me appreciate being able to be a child.
