Rising Stars: Meet Kayla Bolden of Marietta,GA

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kayla Bolden

Kayla, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
At the peak of the pandemic, I developed an interest in faux lashes and in starting a business. I knew that lashes had become a staple look in the lives of many other women and myself. Unfortunately, during COVID, the lockdown caused a delay in those plans. Once I was able to go back at schooI told my loved ones that I wanted to take an eyelash extensions course. Even though it was a different variance from false lashes, my passion led me to attending Esthetics school because it posed benefit to gain knowledge of the beauty world and licensure to offer more services.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
My journey has been up and down, I wouldn’t exactly say it was a smooth road. Obstacles have come along the way, but that did not stop me. God has brought me through a lot of storms during this journey and I myself have been putting in the hard work as well. The glitz and glam of being a business owner gives the impression of leisurely working while gaining lucrative assets. That’s not true, this is very challenging and at times stressful. All the great things that come along with owing a business is possible, but you have to be diligent, determined, and disciplined.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
At Bold Beautie Esthetics we provide lash extensions, body waxing, and very soon we will start offering facials. My expertise lies in enhancing lashes. In due time we will offer brow waxing, tinting, and laminating. My long term goal is to become a one stop shop for ladies who are looking to get all the beauty services done in one place! Our commitment is to ensure each client leaves feeling confident, beautiful, and empowered.

Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
Network as much as you can!! Interact with people who are either in the same field of business as you or someone who isn’t. Building these types of relationships can help in the long run and build friendships as well. I have a business friend who has turned into a good friend of mine now. We discuss different marketing strategies, content ideas, etc. Networking is going to be your best friend when growing and starting a business.
