Today we’d like to introduce you to Kenyvttv El ‘Beyvh.
Hi Kenyvttv, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I was born in Washington DC. My experiences in the entertainment field and industry are wide ranging. Throughout it all I have always continued to write and create content. I initially started in the entertainment field in 2000 as a music Artist and quickly moved up to become Production Coordinator and Brand Manager, for DARE 2 STRUGGLE PRODUCTIONS (Atlanta, GA), a company founded and owned by the late great Tupac Amaru Shakur’s father, Dr. Mutulu Shakur. I later succeeded from Production Coordinator to Vice President of operations. My duties, while at Dare 2 Struggle Productions, consisted of providing direction and direct assistance to the company’s owner; executing daily operations of product and/or project pre-production to post production; marketing, and advertising and promotional efforts.
My experience also include a tenure at BLACK HAND ENTERTAINMENT (based in Jamaica Queens, NY and past management for 50 Cent, Foxy Brown, and Grafh) as Regional Representative in Washington, DC and its metropolitan areas. In conjunction with advancing to become the Executive Assistant to the CEO from the years of 2003 – 2011. My experience in content writing (songs and music video treatments) and scene advisement for musical projects would garner me an additional position as ‘Content Advisor’ to Mr. Chaz Williams (Founder and CEO of Black Hand Entertainment) in regard to the 2001 / 2003 film CRIME PARTNERS (An adaption from the novel written by Donald Goines), the 2007 documentary entitled GANGSTA CHRONICLES: Black Gangstaz CHAZ WILLIAMS, the 2007 BET’s AMERICAN GANGSTER Season 2 Episode 8, and BET’s 2007 ULTIMATE HUSTLER (Damon Dash) TV Reality show.
In 2012 I co-founded 4Ever Young Music Group, based in Washington, DC. I served a two-year tenure as Co – Founder, Percentage partner, Vice – President, and Executive Assistant to the CEO / President, among other things. There I would continue to write music video treatments and co – produce numerous music videos for the label’s roster of artists, such as Dollar$ (4EY The Future), Need Somebody (4EY The Future), Scoot Ova (4EY The Future), Capture (Santino Rose), Spazz Out (Kru3h), and et cetera.

Recently I just completed a full feature film, which I wrote, directed, and produced, titled ‘BLACK VELVET’. Ninety percent of it was shot in the Castleberry Hill area. Amazon Prime Video is now streaming the film.
I would LOVE to discuss the Black Velvet film and it’s journey with you guys. Presently you can stream it on Amazon Prime Video under the title Black Velvet (2025).
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has been a LONG road. There were bumps and set-backs, but never failures or hardships that I couldn’t pivot from or adjust to. I believe in THE DIVINE DESIGN for everything.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a Scriptwriter, Director, and Producer, within the filmmaking and television industry. I am not really known for my work but I will by the end of next year (2026). Thus far my film BLACK VELVET is what I am most proud of. LOGLINE: “Two women, One mission, No limits”. It is a story that focuses on women empowerment. I wrote the script in a week or so, put the production together in a week, directed it in two and a half weeks, and sent it to post for another two weeks.
In this business, what sets me apart is the uniqueness of my subject matter as well as my the creativity to tell the story.
In life, what sets me a part from others is my overstanding of existence and the purpose of life.
What are your plans for the future?
I am planning to build and scale my production company, DOUBLE DUTCH PROVISION, up. I have a wide range of projects slated, ranging from films, TV series, Docuseries, and more.
