Today we’d like to introduce you to Keo Valentino.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Well, it will be ten years in 2023 since I’ve been doing photography, I started out in modeling with the Kathi Larsen Agency at the age of 14. I kept modeling until I was 21 and decided I wanted to be more behind the scenes, so I took everything I learned from photographers and started studying the craft of photography. I later moved to Atlanta in 2017 and after I got my name out there, I went viral and became an influencer. It’s still new to me being a known figure, but I’ve adjusted.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The road definitely wasn’t smooth since I had to leave my own hometown Birmingham, AL just to get any support for my photography. I used to get hate mail on a daily basis telling me I don’t know what I’m doing. I ignored the hate and continued to perfect my craft.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
By trade, I’m an IT Technician aka nerd lol My main job is being an IT administrator mainly corporate work. I specialize in software and hardware repairs. I’m most proud of being able to uphold both lifestyles professionally as a photographer and a technician.
Do you have recommendations for books, apps, blogs, etc?
I mainly focused on apps for photography like one of my faves which is called VIEWBUG. It’s an app that allows photographers to share their work with others and get some good tips on shooting as well.
