Today we’d like to introduce you to Kirsten And Kristen Hardy
Hi Kirsten and Kristen , can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
We fell in love with cheer and dance at a very young age, starting cheerleading at just six years old. From the beginning, we knew professional cheer and dance were goals we wanted to pursue as adults. Every practice, from elementary school through age 18, felt like a step toward making that dream a reality. After spending most of our lives immersed in cheer and dance, we decided to audition for the Atlanta Hawks Cheerleaders at the age of 21, marking the start of our professional dance and cheer journey.
We went on to complete three seasons as Atlanta Hawks dancers and four seasons as Charlotte Hornets Honeybees. Throughout those years, the incredible mentorship we received from our professional cheer coaches, Brandi McCoy and Donni Frazier, left a profound impact on us—not just as dancers but as young women. Their guidance and support inspired us to create our own dance company to provide the same kind of encouragement and leadership to the next generation of aspiring dancers.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Our journey to where we are today has been anything but smooth. Transitioning from high school cheer to professional dance was a significant challenge. It required countless adult dance classes, late nights practicing choreography in front of the mirror, and, truthfully, more than a few tears. Starting our business from scratch was equally demanding—developing a concept, building our brand, marketing to attract dancers, and even navigating virtual practices during COVID. Those early years were tough, but we stayed focused on our ultimate goal and pushed through every obstacle.

We are former NBA dancers and the proud owners of the K.Hardy Dance Company. Our company is currently partnered with the largest sports leagues in the nation, providing top-tier dance entertainment. What makes us stand out is our commitment to equipping youth dancers with the training and skills needed to excel at a professional level. Whether their goals are to dance in college or transition directly into the pros, we ensure they have the tools, preparation, and guidance to thrive in the professional cheer and dance industry!
What matters most to you?
What matters most to us is the impact we make—not just on our own dancers but on every dancer we have the privilege of working with. We hope our story inspires the next cheerleader or dancer to believe that no matter the obstacles or where they begin, with hard work, perseverance, and faith, anything is possible.
