Today we’d like to introduce you to La’Von Bruno.
La’Von, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I’ve been deep in the music since I was 13, and for me, my process always starts with a pencil and my journal. That’s where the lyrics come first, and the beat follows. Over the years, I’ve released several projects and mixtapes, with the whole ‘Thank You for Your Patience’ featuring Busta Rhymes being my most successful to date.
Whether I’m performing ‘Know the Deal’ or ‘Bad Boys,’ I’m all about that energy and connection. Lately, my journey has taken me to Japan, where I’m currently locked in on a new body of work.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It’s definitely been a grind, no doubt. Finding a solid team and getting traction has been tough, but those struggles just made me more self-reliant and reinforced my commitment to the craft. It hasn’t been smooth, but it’s made me who I am.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I’ve been grinding and making music since I was 13, really honing my skills in writing, rapping, singing, and recording. Songwriting is my biggest specialty, and I’m most known for my writing abilities and the sheer volume of music I have in my journals. I’m really proud of the work I’ve put into my craft and how natural it feels now. I stay ‘locked in’ on my own journey, focusing on my artistic discipline and not worrying about what others are doing.
What was your favorite childhood memory?
You know, I’ve thought about that a lot, and it’s hard to pinpoint one thing. My childhood was more like a collection of different memories, all mixed together, but they definitely shaped who I am today.
