Today we’d like to introduce you to Maggie and Luke Wilder. Them and their team share their story with us below:
Luke Wilder, a teenager from Commerce, Georgia, is the owner of Fizz Wild. Luke was diagnosed with autism and epilepsy at an early age and struggles academically and socially. He needed a creative outlet and something he could call his own, so Fizz Wild was born. Luke hopes his joyful personality comes through in everything he sells.
People with disabilities are standing up and demanding to be counted in by saying, “Hey! I’m here, too. Don’t count me out!” They will inspire you and are so gifted. We are so thankful for the community embracing Luke and letting him have his voice be heard.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Luke faces so many challenges in his everyday life but has been so lucky to be embraced by everyone in his business. He has a thriving online business where he ships all across the US and is blessed to be part of three local stores; Polished Chic in Jefferson and Commerce and Blush Salon Co. He hopes to join more storefronts in 2023.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Fizz Wild sells handmade, all-natural bath products. Bath bombs, shower steamers, and more. Luke sells themed bath products and has a new release most months in his Facebook group. Products can be purchased anytime at both locations of Polished Chic and at Blush Salon Co. Luke is so proud to be part of these local stores and to see his product on shelves for anyone to buy.
As a special needs mother, sometimes you long for things for your child but know you might never get. Fizz Wild fills one of those holes for me, and that is the biggest blessing I could ask for.
In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
Luke hopes to continue growing his business. Getting into more stores is a big goal he has for 2023.
