Today we’d like to introduce you to Mama Sha.
Mama Sha, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Starting off, I was always a person that was in touch with the unknown. As a little girl, being outside in my grandma garden was one of the most magical places. Just being around nature, helping my grandma and just plain having fun always kept my need to want to connect more intense. My Grandma would tell me stories of her spiritual gift and how I had my own, She explained to me that it was safe to tap into my true self and unlock my own potential. It was then where I learned that I was an empath and clairvoyant. My Grandma would tell me her family traditions and old family stories. Understanding your lineage is important when you are learning who you are.
Our life’s journey is all personal and it’s up to us to make sure we are living our days in divine truth and creating our own happiness. It took me a while to develop this mindset. A major factor that I learned about myself was I stood too heavy in my ego. I felt like I was always right, needed validation, along with other toxic behaviors. I would beat myself up for holding on to these traits! On one hand, I knew it wasn’t serving and on the other, I knew I had to do something about it. So I did. I started to find ways to heal.
Finding myself while finding my way. Being a spiritual advisor/ life coach was the last profession I saw myself in. My self-esteem wouldn’t allow me to see past today. With the help of my Ancestors and the Most High, I am now able to pour into my following with my inspiration and experience.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
As stated before, my ego was too big. I would say for that my road has always been shaky. My internal fights have been crippling at times. Your worse battles are within. Learning how to stand up for yourself can sometimes be the hardest thing to do. Using my authentic voice was sometimes the hardest because I never wanted to be mean or hurtful to others. Now I speak my truth and listen to my intuition. Overcoming our old self is always a challenge, we have to be willing to take it on.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a Spiritual Advisor, Herbalist, and Conjure Practitioner. I have been spiritually inclined all of my life, with the help of my Grandmother and other Ancestors, I was able to tap into my power. Being a person who picks up energy daily, I specialize in cleansing your energy. I teach my tribe how to cleanse and protect themselves during their spiritual practice, it doesn’t matter what faith you are. I have studied various religious practices from Yoruba to Christianity, having knowledge of self and spirit helps me be of help to others.
What sets me apart is my realness and vulnerability, I take a raw deep approach to my transparency. When I speak life into my tribe it’s from that nurturing elder that we all had in our lives. My old soul has always set me apart even in my younger years. I’m proud that I can live my truth with no restrictions and teach the world how to do the same thing.
Do you have recommendations for books, apps, blogs, etc?
One of my favorite books is The Laws of Human Nature by Robert Greene. I mix spirituality with psychology often and when you can identify certain traits, it’s easier to maneuver around them. That book explains different human behaviors that we are exposed to daily and how to address them. I also love The Pattern App, this app helps me understand the transitions that I go through. I recommend this app if you have started your enlightenment journey and want to get to know yourself better. It’s very good for shadow work as well.
