Today we’d like to introduce you to Mgw Beats
Hi Mgw, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I started making music at the age of 14. My brothers Antonio, Jordan and I were in a group together and at that time we were buying beats for us to rap on. I always wondered “How did they make these beats?”. My brother Antonio introduced me to a program called Fruity Loops (FL Studio), and the rest was history. I been making beats since 2011, spent countless hours learning the program and mastering the artistry of music production, but also building my brand “Milligotwaves (MgwBeats).
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I can honestly say that the road has definitely not been easy, but I will say that it’s manageable. I have went through different phases of production and 2 rebranding phases before I became established in my brand.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I have a lot of skills in the media/entertainment scene, but I’m mostly known for making beats. Milligotwaves is my producer name, which is my brand, and I make all types of music for all types of genres! I specialize in Trap, R&B, and Hip-Hop. I also am skilled in video editing, engineering, mixing sounds, graphic designing, merchandise (heat and screen pressing) and writing. Im most proud of the skills I have obtained learning production in general.
Do you any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
All my childhood Christmases were some of the best memories ever!
