Today we’d like to introduce you to Mia Summerville.
Hi Mia, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I have always found myself captivated by the beauty in life. I love to be able to find the beauty in everything. Art, People and places. So in my life, I always do my upmost to make myself feel beautiful. As a young girl, it was the rollerball lipglosses and great lash mascara to the full face glams I know and love now. Makeup is my art, it’s everything to me.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Definitely not. No one’s journey is easy. I’m nowhere near where I want to be, but I think that’s the beauty of it. I started my brand at 16. Initially, It was my ego running the show. I wanted the accolades and praise but now, I’m 22 with so much to learn and grow from. I want nothing more than quality work and to give my clients an experience they’ll never forget.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a beauty artist. I love makeup, in all its glory. Conventional and unconventional. I hope to be an editorial artist. Not just for my work but the feeling and experience clients feel even after they leave my chair. I want to give every person I meet a unique and Individual look that caters to whatever vibe, event or mood they are in.
If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
I’ve been rebranding since I was a baby. I could never stick to one interest because I always wanted to be on the next thing. My personality has always been very bubbly, loving. With time I lost and found that in myself again, and now I’m happy to say I’m still that girl!
