Today we’d like to introduce you to Mike Haughton and Jeiris George.
Hi Mike and Jeiris, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Raised out of Bushwick, (Brooklyn Newyork) where we both started our friendship in the second grade of middle school. We maintained a healthy growth-based brotherhood/friendship over the years, which eventually evolved into a successful business relationship. Now we are focusing on growing our businesses as well as building our corporate and individual legacies.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The road has not been smooth. Growing up, from boys to men has its obvious challenges. However, we’ve learned to take all of life’s lessons into account and learn from each other’s mistakes. Between becoming fathers, and many other life-changing events, we have always supported each other. We both believe, any strong relationship must be tested. So we always persevere by moving forward.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
We are businessmen who have been in retail management in our early jobs. We are known for being creators and providing an opportunity for people. We are proud of our passion for helping others. What sets us apart from others is our consistency and eagerness to help others and put them ahead of us.
Before we let you go, we’ve got to ask if you have any advice for those who are just starting out?
As cliché as it may be, “Never give up.” Build endurance, stamina, grit & courage. The road is long and hard. Do not get discouraged that you are not getting support from the people you think you would. Stay consistent, and do not let anything demotivate you. This is something we both wish we had known before we started our entrepreneurial endeavors.
