Rising Stars: Meet Mila Milana

Today we’d like to introduce you to Mila Milana.

Hi Mila, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I started modeling shortly after I was crowned Teen Miss Marietta in the Teen Miss USA Pageant. Everyone thought that I would be an athlete my whole life, but I was always doing little photoshoots in my room or getting my friends to partake and capturing what soon became my first portfolio. With the knowledge gained, I soon joined ModelMayhem but at such a young age I didn’t take it seriously. It took me a few no’s to understand modeling is what I wanted to do with my life. I became a Muse to a few photographers in Virginia which really took my career to a different level. In 2020 I took a year off to have a baby but that didn’t last long because not only was a shooting through my pregnancy I was back shooting at about three months postpartum. Now we’re in Houston doing big things traveling and getting as many shots in as we can to take us to the next level. I’m a model mommy what can I say.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Literally, my whole entire life has been an obstacle when it comes to doing what I want to do and what makes me happy my first photoshoot did not please many people in my family and definitely have people looking at me kind a differently but now I learn to forget what people think about me and to do what I want to do and to do the things that make me happy. Now since I’ve been doing the things that make me happy I have gotten so many tattoos that sometimes I feel it holds me back in my industry however I’ve seen other models high fashion models with multiple tattoos so I am learning to use it to my advantage and make it work for me.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Currently, I am known for not only modeling but also cooking. I aspire to be a personal chef store as well as a Model maybe a celebrity model chef. People also know me as the advice-giver one of my main goals in life is to help people out of hardship so I’m the one people come to for some wise advice

We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
I don’t think Lucas played any role in my business and or crafting in building myself as a brand however I do believe that my hard work dedication and drive is what got me to the place where I am today
