Rising Stars: Meet Morgan Worrell

Today we’d like to introduce you to Morgan Worrell. Them and their team share their story with us below:

Morgan Worrell was born and raised in Atlanta Georgia, to George Worrell and Sherriline sims. On March 15, 1991. She has a total of three sisters and two brothers. Her hobbies include shopping, dancing, mentoring, and planning events. Morgan stands on knowing that all glory is giving to God. Knowing that a delay is not a denial and everything happens in God’s timing. Morgan is a data clerk at Washington High School in Atlanta, Georgia.

Growing up was hard for me. I had a lot of problems that I had bottled up inside of me. I thought because they were repressed, they would go away. While finally facing my issues, I thought to myself how many other young ladies are going through what I went through? I know it was only God who placed this vision on my heart. Unveiled Princess was formed and presented to the South Fulton area of Atlanta. Unveiled Princess is a mentoring program for young ladies between the ages of 12-25 years old. Since the conception of Unveiled Princess Inc, we have helped over 500 young girls find the princess within themselves. God has truly blessed me, and I am happy to be able to give back to my community.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Life is hard. You already know that. The world won’t give you what you want, even when you’ve worked hard and sacrificed. Life demands more out of you physically and mentally, but all it does is give you lemons in return. And just know I’m make the lemonade out of the lemons.

There will be ups and downs. There will be times you’ll be crazy confused only to be served with something beautiful. At other times you’ll reach so high up only to fall again. Just when you think you couldn’t take it anymore, life rewards you with the success you didn’t expect.

It is annoying; you bet it is, but you still have to keep your head up. You have to continue to push through the bad with your eyes focused forward. It is what it is.

“Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him” (James 1:12).

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am pleased to serve as your 2021 Ms. Full Figured Georgia Plus. My pageant experience, which is one of the most memorable and exciting times of my life. When I set out to join the pageant for the first time, I sat down and told myself that I have to do this for my girls. Since 2015 I have helped young girls find the princess within, but I was missing something the whole while. I never thought I was worthy of a crown. I thank God for growth. The best is yet to come.

What’s next?
I plan to keep doing what I’m doing! No changes just more work!
