Rising Stars: Meet Najii Person

Today we’d like to introduce you to Najii Person.

Hi Najii, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Born and raised in St. Louis, MO. Coming from a musically talented family on both sides. A family full of singers and musicians. I starter writing poetry very young. Which turned into raps. By the 3rd grade, I knew this was something I wanted to do with my life. Every year I got better and better. Didn’t start recording unto my freshman year of high school. My homie phonzz had a set up so I spent most of my weekend over his house trying to get good at my craft. After High school, I went to Chicago and did a lot of networking and met good people. After a year and change, came back home to St. Louis and hit the ground running. It shows artist events and all just to get my name out there. I did just that. I became pretty know around the city, but I always knew I wanted to be global. 2018 I moved to ATL to widen my fanbase and get to a bigger audience. Been here ever since, still on my mission.

We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It’s never a smooth road. If it was your wouldn’t have a story to tell. Stay focused on the goal. Be strong as bricks because people will test you. Some will fold but others will become great. I never fold.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar, what can you tell them about what you do?
I rap and produce and I specialize in both. But best know for my words. Most proud of my project I dropped in 2019 called (is Forever) I believe I’m special because of my voice and story. No one has lived the life I have. It’s my story and mine to tell.
