Today we’d like to introduce you to Natalie Gillis
Hi Natalie, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I am a UGA senior. I started here as a fashion major but changed to real estate after my freshman year because i wanted to learn the business side of things. I had a hard time finding clothes I liked and that fit me well throughout highschool so thoughts of starting a clothing were always on my mind.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Balancing entrepreneurship while being a student has definitely been challenging, especially in the early stages of building my brand. As a creative, my mind is always running with new ideas, which can make it difficult to focus on school when I’m so passionate about what I’m creating. However, this journey has taught me how to manage my time effectively and prioritize what truly matters to me.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I own a clothing brand that blends style with confidence, especially for those who have struggled with body image and those that struggle to find pieces they keep coming back to. As someone who has personally navigated body insecurities, I’m passionate about creating pieces that flatter and empower all body types while maintaining a chic, elevated aesthetic. My brand is designed for everyone, but I pay special attention to details that make people feel their best.
Beyond my brand, I’m also a photographer and content creator. I love using my photography skills to bring my designs to life.. On TikTok, I share my journey as an entrepreneur, styling tips, and my everyday life to connect with my audience in an authentic way.
What sets my brand apart is not just the designs but the purpose behind them. I want my customers to feel seen, confident, and stylish—whether they’ve struggled with finding clothes that fit just right or they simply love fashion.
One of my proudest moments so far has been launching an ambassador program and seeing people resonate with my vision. Seeing others feel empowered in my pieces and engaging with my content makes everything worth it
