Today we’d like to introduce you to Nick Garner.
Hi Nick Garner, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I have been around music since the age of six with my father owning a record label and studio in Nashville, TN. Being exposed to the industry at such a young age sparked my interest into being an aspiring music artist. Though that path was very rewarding and insightful, with growth I later decided that venturing into the music industry as an artist was not my calling. I always had a major interest in the production side of music. So, I decided to take a risk, relocate to Orlando, Florida and follow my dream.
I soon became a graduate from Full Sail University, Certified Audio Engineer, and doing the thing that I absolutely love every single day!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I am a firm believer that nothing in life is smooth, especially with entrepreneurship. I always remind myself that the obstacles endured throughout any journey is what makes the person and the experience. I’d say I have dealt with the typical obstacles anyone may face when you choose to take a nontraditional route to success. But I wouldn’t change anything!
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am an Audio Engineer specializing in mixing and recording vocals. I mix and master a wide genre of audio such as podcasts, music, video games, post-production, etc.
What sets me apart from others is my experience and quality that I bring. I am a Full Sail University graduate, certified in Protools. I was once an aspiring musician that decided to expand on my interest of working behind the scenes/audio production. Being someone that has ventured on the journey of aspiring artist/creative, I know what it is like to ensure your work exemplifies every facet of you! Therefore, that is the quality I bring to each project. I assure that the artist’s image, vision, and voice is captured all while providing the best quality audio in the industry.
Any big plans?
God is truly amazing! So I am definitely looking forward to the future! Some plans we have in the near future are to expand to more markets and genres of music. We primarily work with R&B, Hip Hop artists, and entertainment podcasts throughout the US. We plan to leave no genre of music off limits!
We are currently in the process of opening a studio to serve our local clients in Nashville, TN.
