Today we’d like to introduce you to Patrez Height.
Patrez, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
As a Georgia native, military veteran, banker, and entrepreneur, I can confidently say that my mother and my faith have been the foundation of my character and achievements. Life is a journey shaped by the choices we make, and while I am the first to acknowledge that I am far from perfect, I am grateful for the growth, perseverance, and accomplishments that have come through faith and hard work.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Life has never been easy, and navigating the world as a Black man brings its own set of challenges that test both resilience and identity. Raised by a single mother who worked tirelessly to provide stability and strength, I learned early the value of perseverance. My decision to join the military was a turning point—a quest to find myself, to discover purpose, and to build discipline that would carry me through every chapter that followed.
Transitioning into corporate America added another layer of complexity, requiring me to constantly prove myself in spaces where I was often underestimated or overlooked. Yet through every struggle—personal, professional, and internal—I have learned to rise above adversity with determination, faith, and hard work. My journey is a testament to resilience, and a reminder that although the path may be difficult, it is in overcoming obstacles that we discover who we truly are.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Well, I am a military veteran, financial adviser, licensed corporate banker, and entrepreneur. I have a passion for helping others as it relates to financial literacy, and financial freedom. In addition to all that I am currently doing professionally, I am also currently developing a new non profit that would specifically aid underserved communities and minorities with tools, education and resources.
What does success mean to you?
Success, to me, is the alignment of peace, financial freedom, and genuine happiness.
It is waking up each day with a calm mind, unburdened by chaos or uncertainty. It is having the financial stability to provide for myself and my family, to make choices without fear, and to create opportunities rather than simply react to circumstances. And above all, success is the presence of true happiness—finding joy in my journey, fulfillment in my purpose, and gratitude in the life I am building.
Success isn’t measured solely by accomplishments, but by living a life that feels whole, balanced, and authentically my own.
