Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Hey there, I’m Rachel Bruno. I’ve been diving into the beauty industry scene in Los Angeles since 2019. Initially, I was engaged in various production roles like music videos, TV commercials, and catering to individual clients for glamorous Red Carpet events. LA life, right? It’s all about the glitz of Music & Movie Premieres, where I frequently served as part of the beauty team for my clients. Come 2022, I made a move to Philadelphia, where the focus shifted more towards bridal services due to market demands. Unlike LA, the music and TV production scene isn’t as vibrant here. Fast forward to 2024, I found myself in Atlanta after relocating once again. My goal remains steadfast – specializing in grand-scale bridal events on weekends and taking individual clients during weekdays.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Moving to a new place always presents an exciting challenge for me! Starting fresh to discover new clients and going the extra mile to showcase my skills across different platforms can be quite invigorating. I trust in my abilities to thrive wherever I go. After all, I’ve tackled this situation before, relocated, and built everything from the ground up once more. When the moment is right, the perfect client will come my way!
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
When I enrolled in beauty school, I didn’t have a specific beauty specialty in mind. As a budding makeup artist, I worked on a variety of projects, from film and music videos to photo shoots, runways, red carpets, and bridal makeup. I initially leaned towards neutral tones, but now I focus solely on bridal clients, showcasing my timeless glam signature style. It’s truly rewarding to see that clients who resonate with my aesthetic are eager to book me. I firmly believe that having a distinctive signature style sets me apart and allows me to shine uniquely in the industry.
