Rising Stars: Meet Riley Jaye of Buckhead

Today we’d like to introduce you to Riley Jaye

Hi Riley, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I’m Riley Jaye, a Master Cosmetologist and Certified Makeup Artist based in Atlanta, GA, with a passion for creating stunning bridal looks that leave a lasting impression. Originally from Naples, Florida, I was fortunate to train under some of the best in the industry, which laid the foundation for my deep appreciation of not only makeup but bridal makeup artistry.

In addition to being a Master Cosmetologist and Certified Makeup Artist, I’m currently working on becoming a licensed Esthetician, which has further broadened my skill set and knowledge in the beauty field. This blend of expertise allows me to provide an elevated, personalized experience for every client.

Through my commitment to continuous education and growth, Riley Jaye Makeup Artistry has developed a reputation for delivering exceptional service and quality that my clients trust and love.

As I always say, “Makeup is an art that not everyone can grasp, but for me, it comes naturally.”

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Like anyone in this industry, I’ve faced my fair share of challenges. One of the biggest hurdles for me was when I decided to take a two-year break to focus on school. While it was a necessary decision for my personal growth, stepping away from my career meant that I had to start from scratch when I returned. Rebuilding my client base and getting back into the rhythm of my work was a challenge, but it taught me how important it is to stay adaptable and patient with myself. The difference between Naples, FL, and Atlanta, GA is significant—Naples is a smaller, quieter town, while Atlanta is a bustling, fast-paced city with a much larger beauty scene. The shift to Atlanta has pushed me to grow in new ways, refining my skills to stand out in a competitive, diverse market. It’s been a challenge, but also a rewarding experience that’s made me more creative and confident in my work.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m a bridal makeup artist specializing in natural to soft glam looks. Whether it’s a soft, dewy look or a more polished, elegant glam, I focus on creating a look that complements both the bride’s style and her personality. My attention to detail, especially when it comes to skin preparation and long-lasting results, has been something my clients often highlight. It’s all about balance with my work, natural beauty with a little extra polish. Being trusted with a client’s biggest day is something I will always be proud of!

Let’s talk about our city – what do you love? What do you not love?
What I love most about Atlanta is the diversity. There’s such a vibrant mix of cultures, neighborhoods, and people which I love. I also appreciate the thriving creative scene here. It’s a city full of opportunity for growth, whether you’re in beauty, art, or entertainment, and it’s inspiring to be surrounded by that kind of energy. As far as what I like least? I’d have to agree with everyone and say the traffic!
