Rising Stars: Meet Sapphire Daniel of Atlanta

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sapphire Daniel

Hi Sapphire , we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Starting The DollRoom was just a dream. I had a passion for hair and makeup, but I didn’t know how I’d turn it into a business. I began with just a few wig deals and affordable services, building my brand one client at a time. It wasn’t easy, especially relocating from Miami to Atlanta. There were countless sleepless nights filled with planning, balancing finances, and managing my social media presence. I leaned heavily on my faith during those tough times, praying for guidance and trusting God’s plan for me.

But through it all, my mom was my biggest cheerleader. She believed in me when I doubted myself and was always there, pushing me to keep going. Her support gave me the strength to take risks and invest in my business. Because of her, The DollRoom became more than just a business; it became a place where women could feel beautiful, empowered, and confident.

Every step of the way, I’ve trusted in God’s timing, and I can proudly say that the long nights and hard work have paid off. Today, The DollRoom is thriving, and I’m grateful for the journey that got me here.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Starting The DollRoom wasn’t a smooth journey at all. When I first began selling hair, I didn’t fully understand the industry or the right suppliers, so I ended up losing a lot of money on hair that didn’t meet my standards. It was frustrating because I wanted to offer the best quality, but it took trial and error to get there.

One of the biggest challenges has been keeping a steady flow of clients. In an industry like this, especially when you’re new to an area, building a loyal customer base takes time and consistency. There were definitely slow seasons where I questioned if I was doing enough, but I always reminded myself that God is in control. If something went wrong, I took it as a sign to slow down, reflect, and see if I missed a step. Each setback became an opportunity to learn and improve.

Balancing faith and perseverance has been key for me. It’s not always been easy, but every struggle has shaped the success of The DollRoom today.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
At The DollRoom, I specialize in a variety of beauty services, making it a one-stop shop for all things glam. We offer everything from hair styling, makeup, and wig installs to Ombré powder brows and lash extensions. I pride myself on being versatile, allowing clients to get everything they need in one place. What sets me apart from others is that clients don’t need to run around town for different services—I provide high-quality, convenient beauty solutions all under one roof.

I’m most proud of the level of care and attention to detail that I put into every service. Whether it’s a flawless makeup look or perfectly sculpted brows, I make sure my clients leave feeling confident and beautiful. I’ve worked hard to ensure The DollRoom isn’t just about beauty—it’s about providing an empowering experience that keeps clients coming back.

What truly sets me apart is my commitment to making each client feel special. I understand that beauty is personal, and I take the time to tailor each service to meet their unique needs. The DollRoom is more than just a salon, it’s a place where clients can relax, recharge, and leave looking and feeling their best.

We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?
I believe risk-taking is essential for growth, especially in business. Relocating from Miami to Atlanta was one of the biggest risks I’ve ever taken. I didn’t know what to expect or how I’d establish myself in a new city, but I felt that I needed a fresh start and a bigger market for The DollRoom. It wasn’t easy to leave behind everything I knew, but I trusted my instincts and God’s plan for me.

Moving to Atlanta gave me the opportunity to reach a broader clientele and expand my services. Of course, it came with challenges, building a new network from scratch and standing out in a highly competitive beauty market was tough. But I see every risk as a chance to learn and grow. If something doesn’t go as planned, I don’t see it as failure; I see it as God telling me to adjust my approach or slow down and reassess.

Taking risks has been key to my success, and while I don’t consider myself a risk-taker by nature, I do believe that calculated risks are necessary. Without them, I wouldn’t have built The DollRoom into the one stop beauty destination it is today.
