Hi Serious , we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My journey as an entrepreneur in the entertainment world has been nothing but a movie, as an independent artists doing local shows, touring with other locals, underground and mainstream artists I’ve learned so much.
My hustle is well known, my music is out there and my motivation is unmatched. If there was ever a business man to rap about his life, that would be me. Serious MAK!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The road to my success is still ahead of me as I am still paving my road. I’ve been thru dead ends, hurdles, road blocks, lessons, winnings and losses but being the most motivated and gaining strength and knowledge I’ve taught my self to never give up. If it’s not working in your favor, switch it up. There are 100 ways to get it! Imma go getta so I’ll definitely make things happen.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Serious MAK is a lyrically talented independent individual rapper, who has no fear of any and all opportunities.
Serious MAK writes his own rhymes, produces most of his work, engineers his songs, ghost writes hooks for others as a service. As a rapper on the healthy competitive side he brings out that energy on every beat, setting the tone for others to follow in his foot steps.
The difference between Serious MAK and other rappers, MAK is hungry! Meaning his hustle, flow and energy levels are unmatched.
Over the past decade Serious MAK has toured nationally, blessed the stage with house hold names, collaborated with many popular mainstream and underground artists, has a merch store with active merch available, organized and hosted showcases, concerts, and events.
The business side, MAK has attracted both local and corporate sponsorships thru his music while building his multiple catalog set to share with his fans, other major names in the game.
Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
My biggest inspiration comes from the people around me who always keep it real with me and don’t ever fake it to make it. My favorite team of producers would be Jason Cromer of Influential Minds, Richard Nichols of Circle of Sound, Blair Phillips of KhroFace Productions and AlexMedinaBeats Multiple Emmy Award Winning Producer.
My mentors would be my big bro Rush from Northern Southerners, Richard Nichols aka Yuppie Monk, DJ Dirty Harry former Kube 93.3 in Seattle WA.
