Rising Stars: Meet Shaleigh McBride-Faieta of Sugar Hill

Today we’d like to introduce you to Shaleigh McBride-Faieta.

Hi Shaleigh, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’m originally from Pennsylvania and first discovered chiropractic at age 10 after hip pain from dance and cheerleading led my dad to take me to a chiropractor. The care not only helped me heal but kept me injury-free through school and college, which sparked my passion for holistic health.

I earned my bachelor’s in Psychology from West Virginia University and a master’s in Clinical Mental Health from East Carolina University, where I began researching natural approaches to wellness. That path led me to Life University in Atlanta, where I earned my Doctor of Chiropractic and conducted research on chiropractic care and addiction recovery.

Now at AlignLife of Sugar Hill, I’m passionate about helping families live healthier, more proactive lives. My mission is to impact not just one person, but their future generations.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. During chiropractic school, I was juggling full-time classes, working, research, and coaching, all while being far from family. On top of that, I graduated, got married, and began working alongside my husband, all within a short period of time. Learning how to balance marriage, business, and personal growth at the same time was both rewarding and challenging.

There were seasons of exhaustion, financial pressure, and steep learning curves, especially when figuring out how to run a practice together while keeping our relationship strong. But each challenge pushed me to grow, improved my ability to communicate and lead, and ultimately deepened my commitment to the work we do together, helping others live healthier, more intentional lives.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I’m a chiropractor and my focus is on helping families live healthier, more intentional lives through natural, specific chiropractic care. I specialize in pregnancy, pediatrics, and family wellness, helping patients of all ages improve function, reduce stress on the nervous system, and build a strong foundation for lifelong health.

I’m most proud of the impact our office has had on families. Seeing parents, kids, and even grandparents experience life with less pain, better energy, and more connection. It’s incredibly rewarding to care for entire families and watch their health transform together.

What sets me apart is my holistic perspective and background in psychology and clinical mental health. I look beyond symptoms to understand the physical, emotional, and chemical stressors that affect the body. My goal isn’t just to help people feel better, but to empower them with the tools and education to take ownership of their health for generations to come.

Any big plans?
My future plans are to purchase the chiropractic office that I currently work in (around July of 2026). My husband and I have been in the process of transitioning ownership from the current owners who started the practice 27 years ago. It is an honor to carry on their legacy but we are excited to move into the business ownership season of life.

We are also pregnant with our first baby, due in March 2026 – so lot’s of changes and new beginnings in 2026.
