Rising Stars: Meet Shanda Davis

Today we’d like to introduce you to Shanda Davis.

Hi Shanda, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I started Good Eats and Sweet Treats ATL just playing around in the kitchen. When I say playing around I have a passion for cooking and sharing my experience with social media as content. I decided to experiment with Candy Apples (they were horrible looking to me lol) I posted them on my Facebook and the rest is history.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
There are always obstacles and challenges in any business some days I wanted to throw in the towel but overall it’s all been and still is worth the bumps in the road that I have endured.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Im a treat maker, caterer, crafter, party planner, Women Boutique Owner (P.H.A.T Like Me Boutique) you name it and I can pretty much do it lol. My passion is Good Eats and Sweet Treats I specialize in enhancing special occasions for my clients by providing treats such as candy apples, chocolate-covered strawberries, candied popcorn, cupcakes, etc. I’m also an educator I offer one on one treat classes for those that want to start their own business.

I’m always proud when strangers inquire about my business and they follow up with “Oh you did my sister’s baby shower!” or “I had your treats at my company holiday party” It lets me know I’m (my talent/business) is recognized in rooms I probably never physically step foot in.

What sets me apart from others is I take pride in making sure my clients are completely satisfied with my work and this includes taste and presentation (I’m Big on this one) I’m not giving you anything I wouldn’t have myself.

How do you think about luck?
No Luck…ALL God. The Good….ALL God I don’t focus on the bad it’s ALL God even if it’s to protect me.
