Rising Stars: Meet Sharee Boyd of Dallas, GA

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sharee Boyd.

Hi Sharee , it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
If you had told me a few years ago that I’d end up a real estate photographer and a real estate agent, I would’ve laughed, taken a sip of coffee, and changed the subject. In October of 2019, after almost 20 years as a surgical assistant, I walked away from the medical field with absolutely zero idea what I was going to do next. I just knew I needed a change. And the funny part? I had spent YEARS telling one of my best friends, “I never want to own my own business.” I meant that. Spoiler alert: God said otherwise.

I didn’t set out with a big business plan, a 10-year goal board, or even a clue. I just picked up my camera during COVID because… well, what else was there to do? I watched an online course, realized I could point a camera at houses for money, and three months after that—boom—Pryceless Media was born.

And let me be clear: I do not take photos of people. People have opinions. People say things like, “Delete that one,” or “Why do I look like that?” Homes don’t do that. Homes don’t blink, sweat, or insist they don’t look like that in real life. So I stuck with the beautiful, predictable world of architecture—residential, commercial, if it has walls and a door, I’m in.

Running around the city photographing homes gave me a front-row seat to the real estate world. I met agents in every corner of Atlanta, and sometimes I brought my husband along as my unofficial assistant. After watching me lug my camera bag around house after house, he said, “You know… you should just become an agent.” I told him absolutely not. These agents worked HARD. I didn’t know if I had whatever that extra energy was that they seemed to use daily.

But eventually, curiosity—and maybe a little stubbornness—won. I said, “Fine. I’ll take the classes. IF I pass the test, then maybe this is meant to be.” Well, I didn’t just pass—I flew through it. Passed the licensing exam on the first try, in half the time they give you, and basically walked out of there like, “Okayyy destiny, I see you.”

Now I’m a full-time Realtor who still runs a thriving media company on the side. And somehow, the girl who used to be a self-proclaimed introvert (a title no one actually believes I ever had) is now one of the biggest extroverts in the room. I meet people all day long, and I genuinely love it. When I tell clients I used to be nervous to speak to strangers, they literally laugh. I don’t blame them.

So here I am—camera in one hand, contract in the other—building a business I never planned for, in an industry I didn’t expect to love this much. Where it’s going next? I have no idea. But I know it’s growing, it’s exciting, and it feels a lot like the thing I was meant to do… even if it took a global pandemic, a camera, and a very persuasive husband to get me here.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Not at all — starting a business is anything but predictable. One of my biggest struggles was simply finding customers. When you’re building something from the ground up, you’re also building trust, and that takes time. In the beginning of my photography business, I literally gave away free home photo sessions just to show people what I could do and to earn their confidence.

And while the business is growing, the income isn’t always steady. It comes with highs and lows, and there are moments where you’re staring at your bills wondering, “Did I make a mistake? Should I go back to the nine-to-five grind?” Those thoughts are real.

But through all the uncertainty, my strong faith in God sustained me in those meek-looking times. Even when things didn’t look promising on paper, I held onto the belief that He wouldn’t bring me this far to leave me. That faith kept me steady, kept me moving, and reminded me that purpose often comes wrapped in challenge.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m a real estate agent and photographer — basically a one-woman listing and marketing team. I help people buy and sell homes, and I also create the photos and content that make those homes stand out. I’m known for being hands-on, detail-obsessed, and fully invested in my clients’ success (yes, I will fix your throw pillows before photos).

What I’m most proud of is how I communicate. My clients never have to wonder what’s going on because I’m updating them at every step. And what sets me apart is the heart behind my work — I make the process personal, organized, a little fun, and genuinely supportive. People know I’ll show up, advocate for them, and keep things running smoothly… with a smile and probably an emoji or two.

So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
What matters most to me is how people feel throughout the entire process — not just the end result. Anyone can show up for the photo, the contract, or the closing table, but I care about the experience in between. If we get to the finish line but the whole ride felt stressful, confusing, or miserable, then what was the point?

Whether it’s a real estate client or a photography client, I want them to feel supported, informed, and genuinely cared for from day one. I want them to feel like they’re working with someone who sees them, not just their property or their project. The “how” matters just as much as the “done,” and to me, that’s where integrity and service really live.
