Hi Shawn, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started SHOTBYSHAWN when I was 21 Years Old. I remember scrolling through Instagram and remember seeing Dan Folger (Wiz Khalifia’s Photographer at the time) and I remember seeing his work, & lifestyle, & just thinking to myself how I wanted that. I wanted to have a good life.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No, It has not been a smooth road. I’ve have multiple ups and downs in this business. Through the pandemic, nobody booking for weeks on end. To working from 1pm to 1pm the next day. Not saying everyone has had this situation just my personal experience.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I’m a Content Creator, I shoot Music Videos, Weddings, Vlogs. Behind The Scenes, TikToks, etc. I’m Mainly known for Music Videos, but as I grow and understand the business better, I’m looking to work in TV, Movies, Or even more Weddings. I’m most proud of my ups and downs because I wouldn’t have learned so much without the down moments. What sets me apart is I WORK so hard. I have two kids to take care of plus Myself, so I have to go harder than the average person doing this.
