Today we’d like to introduce you to Sheneka Adams.
Hi Sheneka, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’ve been an entrepreneur since 2012. Before that, I was involved in the entertainment industry. I’ve always had a knack for business because I love working for myself.
Success doesn’t always happen overnight, it took many years for me to get where I am with my businesses. There’s a lot of hard work, sleepless nights, and unwanted stress that comes with running a business but the rewards are great because you are getting the opportunity to buy your time.
My only goal for being an entrepreneur is to buy all of my time so that I can enjoy life the way that I see fit.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
No, it has not always been a smooth road. For the first two years of business I didn’t make any money because I had to pay back an investor and then business costs, so it is definitely a sacrifice that I had to make.
Then you learn about chargebacks and how people try to scam you so that’s another headache especially when you’re a small business.
And then of course, the taxes that you have to pay, LOL. We don’t like to do that but unfortunately you have to.
Outside of all of those things, the rewards are definitely great. It is definitely heartwarming to receive all of the positive reviews and pictures from women all over the world feeling very pleased and happy with the service and product that you provided.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Creating contact for my boutique AFTER7 THE LABEL is one of my favorite things to do. I love scouting locations, getting dressed up, and taking photos. I know exactly what women want to see and I love providing that for them.
Many people think content creation is easy, but it takes a true perfectionist and creator to execute the proper way, in my opinion. The small details matter, they can make or break content.
