Rising Stars: Meet Sincere Hunte

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sincere Hunte.

Hi Sincere, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
Originally, I’m from Fayetteville, NC but did a lot of moving around when I was younger. I found myself in places like Maryland, College Park, Huntsville & now Nashville. I am an aspiring artist, businessman amongst other things- I don’t usually like to put labels on things but, yea, I’d say that in a nutshell.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
No not at all but you take the journey in strides, ya know? Struggles include things such as marketing, the actual recording process, making ideas come to life, funding … anything you can imagine I’ve encountered it, but it isn’t about where you are going, the hard part is finding joy in getting there, I’m learning to appreciate it.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Most people like to say “rapper”, but I find myself nowadays trying to have a hand in everything from production to visuals, being able to express myself through all possible outlets in my field but all in all I’m proud of the progress thus far, toured with some friends, did some amazing shows, met some amazing people that kind of thing and it’s only the beginning. The thing I feel that sets me apart from others is my writing, approach every piece with brutal honesty, witty wordplay, anything I can do to express that emotion I know we have all felt.

We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
Success to me is a couple things, one being, taking care of your family, making sure you do whatever you can whenever you can to make sure your village is taken care of, it took a village to raise me so I will always give back when I can. Two being recognized for what you by all you can do, whether it’s small scale or on a larger one. Set an audience and attack it. Three being, knowing you’ve done all you can and continue to do we are all a part of a bigger plan, so success is measured differently but that’s me.
