Today we’d like to introduce you to Tanisha Mackin.
Hi Tanisha, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start, maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers.
In 2010, after a tragic loss, travel and writing became my anchors. I embarked on a journey to create lasting memories with my children while also seeking solace and healing.
This path led me to write books that empower widows and others navigating loss. Travel became a powerful tool in my own journey, and I found myself drawn to share my experiences and inspire others.
Now, as a travel writer and content creator, I aim to ignite a passion for exploration in my readers. I want them to discover the world’s rich tapestry of cultures, savor delicious cuisines, and embrace the joy of unforgettable experiences.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Grief’s journey wasn’t linear. Some days, writing and planning trips fueled my spirit. Others, the loss felt overwhelming. But through it all, these creative outlets and the act of helping others became my anchors.
Today, as a travel writer, I face a new challenge: securing partnerships to elevate my content. My dream is to collaborate with hotels, airlines, and other travel businesses to create even richer experiences for my readers.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m a passionate writer who empowers others to share their stories. As a bestselling author, ghostwriter, and publisher, I help clients bring their voices to life [consider mentioning a specific genre you excel in].
My love for travel fuels my creativity. I’m a travel writer and content creator who curates travel guides, blogs, and even YouTube videos, all designed to ignite your wanderlust. I go beyond basic recommendations, offering insights on unique places to stay, hidden culinary gems, and must-do experiences for all ages.
And to spark creativity in others, I’ve even developed travel coloring books for both children and adults, merging the joy of exploration with artistic expression.
What was your favorite childhood memory?
One of my favorite childhood memories is having family reunions and being around my entire at once. Playing baseball, eating BBQ, and just having fun with my entire family was fun.
