Today we’d like to introduce you to Telia JnBaptiste.
Hi Telia, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My story starts in a small fishing community in The Bahamas. I was raised in Sandy Point, Abaco, The Bahamas and I am one of seven children. After graduating high school in 2009, I left home and my adventure of discovering life and love began. Fast forward to 2014, I got married and love brought me overseas to live in the United States. I moved to Boston, MA with my husband and shortly after my arrival we became pregnant with our first child and I settled into being a homemaker. In 2018 I became pregnant with our second child and we moved to Atlanta. A few months after we moved to Atlanta, we began the process of finding and purchasing our first home. It was during this process I realized that I could see myself in real estate and in 2020, I became a licensed real estate agent in the state of Georgia. Today, I am the proud wife to Courtney, Mommy to three amazing children and establishing my career as one of the best agents to grace the “Big A”!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has definitely not been a smooth road. Letting go of other people’s expectations of who and what I should be was one of my greatest struggles. For me, this meant dropping out of college and trying to find my passion in a 9-5 world which I hated. I also experienced a lot of “new” in a short span of time and the weight of being a new wife, moving to a new country and becoming a new Mom was heavy! After experiencing such life-changing milestones, I knew I wasn’t the same anymore and I struggled to find “Telia” again. As I began to discover and establish this “new me” it was and still is difficult in managing my life as a wife, mom and real estate agent while not having a physical “village” around to help. I got licensed at the onset of the pandemic and navigating the never-ending waves of this booming market has been challenging. Nonetheless, I feel I have finally found my footing and I am excited and expecting 2022 to be a victorious and abundant year for me.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I see myself as a creative and as an independent real estate agent, I am also an entrepreneur. As a real estate agent, I specialize in helping people bring their dream of homeownership to reality. As a content creator/creative, I encourage women by sharing my life as a wife, mother and now, working woman. I am most known as “the homemaker’. I am most proud of the family my husband and I have cultivated; they are my “why”. What sets me apart from others are my values and the fact that in such a fast-paced and selfish world, my family is and will always be my priority.
