Rising Stars: Meet Terrell Edmonds

Today we’d like to introduce you to Terrell Edmonds.

Hi Terrell, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Originally from Baltimore, MD, currently reside in Atlanta, GA. I started out over 12 years ago being an apprentice barber in Baltimore, MD. Relocated to Atlanta about four years ago & started back getting into cutting. Atlanta showed me a lot of love so went back to school & currently cut from home. Practice makes perfect & I’m determined to make my vision for barbering to come true. Currently have a lot of innovative things to come. Social media is what helped me get to where I am. Promote promote promote!!!

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Struggles along the way was learning without a teacher in the beginning. Competition in Atl is rough but as long as you continue your dreams & focus on your craft & not others. There’s room for everybody, Constructive criticism can take you a long way if you just listen & apply it to where it’s needed. Never stop learning!!

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m a four years old Barber. I cut hair, style hair, and retwist locs. I’m known for barbering but saw extra income with allowing my clients to be able to make one stop. I’m most proud of her diverse. I’ve become with offering more then just cutting hair. I take the extra mile to be more in all fields of beauty. My mission with my clients is making them more confident then when they first sit in chair. What sets me apart from others is your getting the RellDaBarber experience & set me apart from everyone, innovation!!!

What matters most to you? Why?
My son matters the most to me. Being a dad is being a hero. Lead by example if I want my son to run his own business. Him seeing his dad grinding working hard would only make him work harder, smarter, and better. My son matters the most to me because that’s my hustle HIM.
