Today we’d like to introduce you to Tiffany Nichole.
Hi Tiffany, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Growing up, I’ve always had a passion for health & beauty. Once I graduated high school, I enrolled into West Georgia Technical College in 2010 & shortly after, I became a cosmetologist in 2011. Once I graduated, I worked in a salon based in Palmetto, GA but I always wanted to have my own space so I started running my business out of my home. It was very successful so in 2018, I added mink lashes, wigs & hair extensions to my brand but in March of 2021, my home & business was destroyed completely by a level ef-4 tornado 🌪 after taking a devastating loss one of my colleagues offered me to work in her shop until I got back on my feet. While working there, I was looking for a new space for my business slayperusualbytiffanynichole, reaching out to my business mentor, I was giving a few resources of space and one was located in the Walmart plaza off Bullsboro Drive that had salon suites available in July. I signed my first commercial lease and business has been great. I also started up a website that offers and takes on at least 10-15 clients a week.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No, it hasn’t. Building everything over from scratch after losing my home and business all together was devastating. I couldn’t work for weeks because I was living out of a hotel with no workspace.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m a hairstylist & mua. I specialize in enhancing beauty. I offer services for natural hair, sewing in extensions, make up. I’m very much known for installing wigs and making them look realistic, like it’s the client’s natural hair. I’m proud of how much my business has grown and hairstyling techniques has enhanced over the years. I’m set apart from others because I only strive to be original leave a mark of my own so when I see a client in public, you almost know who styles her hair or makeup.
Risk taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
Taking risks only shows that a person will take chances without really knowing the outcome. Trusting in God and having faith that the risk their making is their next best move, which will come with elevation, growth, & being more successful.
