Hi Tricia, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I’ve always posted fashion content since the beginning of Instagram. I’ve loved getting dressed up since a young girl and when Instagram started, I would always post photos of my outfits. I grew a decent following at that time and then became stagnant when Instagram began to change their algorithm. It wasn’t until reels started, where I found a golden opportunity to showcase what I wore through video form. I begin to post consistently and eventually one outfit went viral and the rest is history!
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
When the algorithm was changing, it was very difficult to stay motivated. My post weren’t being seen and it felt like I was putting in work for nothing. However, I truly love showing my outfits and getting dressed every day so it didn’t feel like a job. Although sometimes I questioned why I was doing it, I stayed consistent and it eventually started to pay off.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I currently create fashion content for my personal but also own a hair salon called InVogueMeHair Salon.
I also work with brands as a UGC Creator. I help brands with organic, creative content to assist them in growing their social media presence.
I specialize in GRWM videos while also showcasing my versatility with my hairstyles (color, cuts, styling).
I am known for my everyday outfit and hair inspiration and I believe my style of editing helps me stand apart from others. I keep a consistent flow with my videos and never make my audience wait too long for the final results.
Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
I am not only good at showcasing outfits, I am also very talented at coloring and installations dealing with hair. Ten years in my field thus far.
