Hi Vego, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I’ve been a creative my entire life. It’s how I channeled my emotions as a child. I began drawing and it shifted to poetry, then producing music. Soon I became an artist, formed a group with friends. I went solo after some years in. When my career was on a rise, I got into a bad accident. Then Covid happened. I was in quarantine lost. I began writing my ideas down. To promote my music using my lyrics on t-shirts was my idea. It turned into an apparel empire. Still growing but definitely very rapid.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Issues of entitlement. Trial and error with my clothing quality.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m a fashion designer, recording artist, author, videographer and father. I have my own apparel line and I also have 6 partnering brands I design for. I’m known for creating great music, content, and now clothing. Still growing and expanding. Difference with me is I’m taking as many people with me as possible.
Do you have any advice for those just starting out?
Life is like that big scrabble board from soul train. Never stop moving the pieces around until it makes sense. Also, the answers are within you. Those who look outside for answers, and dreams. Those who looks within awakens.
