Rising Stars: Meet Whitney Richter of Sandy Springs

Today we’d like to introduce you to Whitney Richter

Hi Whitney, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
As a high school student, I worked part-time at a local doctors office and became very interested in the care of patients. The physicians in the practice were very encouraging and provided me with an opportunity to not only work in the office, but to learn as much as possible about concerned care for patients. My experience in this medical office helped me decide my future, landing me in nursing school right after high school graduation. After graduating nursing school with honors in 2012, I went to work in the emergency department for the Piedmont hospital system. During my 9 years in the ER, I learned how to advocate and care for my patients in a way that has shaped me into the provider I am today. And even though I knew emergency medicine was not my home forever, I credit my journey there for shaping me into the provider I am today.

Having always had an interest in aesthetic medicine, I sought training for injectables in 2018. I quickly knew that this facet of medicine was my home. I was able to seamlessly blend artistry and medicine in a way that made my creative heart so happy. I devoted all my time I wasn’t saving lives in the ER to perfecting my aesthetic injectable craft. I dove head first into gaining a vast knowledge of the science behind aesthetic medicine and perfected my skill set to provide patients with beautiful, natural results. This journey has allowed me to work with and learn from some of the most wonderful professionals in the field, which landed me at Le Visage Atelier in Sandy Springs. Along the way, I have gained the most wonderful patients comprised of amazing women and men from across the nation.

In 2023, I was recognized as one of the top 12 injectors in the nation by Cure for Aging. Perhaps my most exciting moment along my journey, was being given the opportunity to become an educator in the field of aesthetic medicine. In 2024, I emerged among the top 1% of injectors in the nation and was selected as a national trainer for Allergan Medical Institute. Now, when I’m not busy curating beautiful, customized treatments plans for my wonderful patients, I am training other amazing providers around the nation to do the same.

Perhaps the greatest thing to come out of my 9 years in the emergency room was meeting my amazing, paramedic husband. We truly live out our fairytale with our three beautiful children. Without them and their support, I wouldn’t be where I am today.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
My journey has not always been smooth. Having a family and working away from home always has its challenges. There have been many, many long days spent in trainings, traveling near and far, all while seeing patients 4 days a week.

I have put so much time into practicing skills, learning about new products and techniques and ensuring I am staying at the forefront of these advancements in my field. The work doesn’t stop once I leave the office either. I have worked tirelessly to build up my clientele through engaging and informative content on social media.

All of the challenges have been more than worth it. Even though there will always be another hill to climb, the support and love from my family and colleagues never waivers and makes everything seem a lot less challenging. Overall, I feel so blessed to be where I am today that it still doesn’t feel real at times. I am having a real “pinch me” moment lately.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I work in the field of medical aesthetics; an amazingly interesting and fast paced field. Patient relationships are the most important aspect of my work and allows me to do my best when providing their care. My specialty is the use of aesthetic injectables and other procedures for the enhancement and care of the face and body. I seamlessly blend artistry and medicine to deliver quality results that make my patients feel their best while maintaining natural, safe outcomes.

I was tasked in creating a fun, catchy instagram handle in 2019, which is when @lipsbywhit was born! Since then, I have organically built my social media following by sharing real, honest results and education on the world of aesthetic injectable treatments. Of course, I am widely known for creating beautiful, balanced results using a global approach to the face. But, I sure do love creating beautiful, custom pouts using my signature lip techniques.

Although I take great pride in creating beautiful results for every patient, I truly value safety and integrity above all. I take great pride in the relationships I built with my patients. I love hearing about their good and bad days and taking part along their journeys is truly an honor. My patients have truly become my extended family, and I will always treat them accordingly. Remaining on the front lines of aesthetic advancements and continuing to dive into educating myself and others will remain a priority of mine to ensure that I always deliver safe, first class care to my patients.

If I had to say what sets me apart from others in this field it is my desire to do my best work considering the patients goals, comfort, budget and, most importantly, safety. I truly have mastered the art of a custom curated aesthetic injectable treatment plan to deliver consistently beautiful results and, for that, I am so proud.

So, before we go, how can our readers or others connect or collaborate with you? How can they support you?
The best collaboration between myself and my patients begins with honesty and transparency. Their honesty is crucial when I’m trying to gain an understanding of their concerns and I need to be honest and realistic about the options with non-surgical aesthetic enhancements. I want to deliver the safest, most effective treatments always. I perform a comprehensive consultation on every patient and formulate treatment plans individually for each patient with the focus being their goals, budget, safety and maintaining natural results.
