Today we’d like to introduce you to Yolanda Newell.
Hi Yolanda, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I have been in the support role for many years. It appears I have gravitated to Paulding County first working for myself as a virtual assistant and then for the Chamber, Economic Development, and now the Paulding Airport. I am a team player who loves to help others. I have been a board member as well as a volunteer with the Family Alliance of Paulding and the Paulding Boys and Girls Club. I also am a member of St. Paul A.M.E. Church Dallas. I love loving others, supporting others and giving back.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I am not sure if anyone has a smooth road but I will say that obstacles have definitely been there but with the grace of God, I continue to move forward. I do not focus on past obstacles.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am the Assistant to the Airport Director. I support him administratively as well as represent him and this airport at events in the area. I am very actively involved in the Paulding Chamber and sit on many of the committees.
If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
I was very happy and energetic. Truly enjoyed my childhood. Very outgoing and personable.
